July 12, 2012 - Relatively low cost with surprisingly excellent amenities, especially considering it is full-on tourist season. One night stay was a very good value, especially factoring in an excellent breakfast bar. Yes, a little tricky to get to even though you can easily see the hotel from the freeway. Our GPS took us right to it. Exterior is quite lovely actually. Courteous staff. Comfortable beds and pillows. I like that they posted a note in our room that duvet covers are washed daily (as compared to the typical budget hotel quilt that rarely gets cleaned). Exceptionally quiet even though our room faced the freeway. Couldn't hear traffic at all. My husband and I are frequent business and also tourist travelers who want nice, comfortable, clean (goes without saying) lodging but we like to be smart shoppers and not waste our money on luxury that we don't need. This hotel offered exceptional amenities for what we consider a budget price. We didn't have time to use their pool but unlike most pools it was open 24/7 yet we never heard any noise coming from it. Check out their rates for various affiliations such as AAA or AARP. In our case, my husband qualified for a Veteran/Military rate which really helped our pocketbook. Based on our one night accomodation, we would definitely stay there again.

We spent ten days in Sandpoint, Idaho, vacationing and enjoying the beautiful surrounding areas. Toward the end of our stay there we heard a weather report indicating a storm would be coming to the area on the day we were to drive from Sandpoint to Spokane to catch our flight home to California. Not wanting to drive that distance through a predicted storm we decided to leave Sandpoint a day early and stay the last night someplace closer to the Spokane airport.
By chance we came upon the Hampton Inn, which is located at the I-90 and Hwy 2 turnoff to the airport. We didn't have a reservation but they were able to accommodate us for the one night we were requesting. The receiption staff couldn't have been more friendly or nicer to us. Since we were to turn in our rental car at the airport at 3 p.m. the following day, they said it would be no problem for us to keep our room until 2 p.m., which is past their normal check out time of noon.
Our room was very clean and had wonderfully comfortable beds and bedding. There was a flat screen TV, microwave oven, coffee maker, and a refrigerator. Bathroom was funished with toiletries and a good supply of towels....something some hotels seem to scrimp on these days!
They offered an amazing continental breakfast that included (almost) everything one would like to eat at the beginning of their day. As well, they offered lunch and dinner for a nominal fee at the same location until 10 p.m., and had a good variety of things to choose from.
This hotel offeres a laundry room, exercise room, and a large in-door swimming pool & spa. We even noticed there was special equipment which would enable a handicap person to enjoy the pool and spa, if they so choosed to do so.
Every employee at the hotel expressed a sincere example of wanting to help us in any way they could provide. Reception, housekeeping, restaurant, maintenance....every employee we came in contact with had a smile, greeted us, and always asked if there was something they could do for us.
While we stayed there only one night because of predicted bad weather, it was a wonderful experience and someplace we would definitely want to stay again if we needed something again in that area.

I've stayed at this Hilton-branded property a number of times over the years and I've been impressed by how well management has kept up the quality. The hotel is just off I-90 and less than 5 minutes from the Spokane Airport or the downtown area. The hotel doesn't look like a typical Hampton (it has a very nice brick exterior) nor is it laid out like a typical Hampton (there is a large indoor pool just off the lobby). There is plenty of free parking in front and in back. My room was on the 3rd floor and was clean and well-maintained, with a very comfortable king bed. The work desk and chair were adequate and the wireless internet (no charge) was fast enough for my needs. Even though the hotel was full the night I stayed, the hallways were quiet and I was able to get a good night's sleep. This Hampton property is one of the better Hilton-branded hotels in the Spokane area and in my opinion represents a better overall value. I recommend it.

Room Tip: Ask for a room on the top (3rd) floor on the back side of the hotel to avoid noise from I-90.

We spent 2 nights at this Hampton Inn, which is close to the airport. We had a very early morning flight scheduled. The room was large and comfortable but in need of of some updating as far as decor. The only negative was the dusty drapes. The front desk staff was friendly and extremely helpful (especially Ashley) concerning sightseeing tips, directions and shuttle arrangements. Spokane is a fairly small city, so it was a short distance by car to most places. The included breakfast was just adequate. We've stayed at other Hampton Inns that make the breakfast more appetizing.

We stayed at the Hampton Inn when our daughter had a state track meet in nearby Cheney. When we pulled up to the hotel we saw welcome signs for 10 track teams that were staying there...we thought uh oh...this could be a disaster with all these kids here. We had nothing to fear. Not only were the kids very well behaved, but the hotel was very quiet, well-run, smooth-business-as-usual. You never would have known that it was packed full of teenagers. Our only complaint was that the beds were not as soft as we are used to in hotels. Other than that-great hotel and great service.

This was a nice quiet hotel definitely off the beaten path. Make sure you have your GPS set before setting out to look for it. It is tucked off the main road. Other than that, we had no complaints. The beds were comfortable and the rooms were clean and roomy enough. The location was convenient to Spokane. Breakfast was the usual buffet style and nothing jumped out at me that I could rave about.

Thank you for your review. Yes, we are tucked in from the main road. Here's a tip for your next trip: When you are traveling on Sunset and looking for S. Assembly Road, keep your eyes peeled for the tree lined street with little white lights streamed throughout. That will be S. Assembly Road, leading you directly to our property. At this hotel, we appreciate being a short drive away from the hustle and bustle of the downtown area - but within close proximity. Our location is about half way between the airport and downtown Spokane. We hope to see you back here soon! Thanks. ~ Jamie Crawford, Assistant General Manager
