My boyfriend and I were visiting Spokane for New Year's weekend and heard that the Game was going to have the latest UFC fight.
WARNING: This place looks like a regular old sports bar from the outside. It hardly looks worth a second look. In fact, my boyfriend's comment was, "Uh, this looks like a dive, we don't have to stay if its gross."
However, once we walked in, it was clear that we were standing in one of those rare hole in the wall places that end up being a city icon. HUGE TVs, nice leather couches, bistro style seating if you prefer. There is a private party area that has nice leather chairs if you have a bachelor party or girls night group and want a little more privacy. We were totally blown away.
The menu would give us another surprise. Nothing I would have expected. Everything from Greek salads to burgers to flatbread pizza. One of the specials was grilled cheese and tomato soup so that's what we ordered. We were expecting Campbell's... what we got was probably the best tomato soup ever... the base was like thinned out tomato paste and then in the middle was a dollop of guac with a pinch of parmesan cheese that you can mix it. SO good.
The cover for the fight was a littl expensive for Spokane ($15 a seat but $8 a seat in the bar). Definitely worth a stop if you're looking for an out of the way place with yummy, comfort food at good prices.
