Excellent locationn for downtown, riverside park and easy, pleasant river walks. Hotel is two-storey but no lift and hotel could not guarantee a ground floor room, this is a drawback if you have knee problems !

All around, this is a great place. We have stayed here twice on two separate occasions. We found the location to be very convenient. We pretty much parked at the hotel and walked everywhere in the downtown area. We loved this. It's a 8-10 min walk to INB Performing Arts Centre.

Our first room was pretty nice. It was a pet friendly (accessible / barrier free room) which had lots of space and a HUGE bathroom. It was a bit stuffy and had a quite a strange odour in it. Somewhere between cigarettes and that wet/damp smell. It smelled like someone may have smoked in there and it needed a carpet cleaning.

Our second room was facing the tennis court and much nicer! It had a modern TV, etc. It had a patio door that backed onto green space which is great for people with pets. This room also had a bit of a smell that was being masked by a chemical or air freshener smell, but way better than our first room.

Overall be prepared for a bit of a damp smell this could be because of quality of the construction that was used and basic windows. This could also be because of the close proximity to the river. The building is louder than others. We could hear the people walking above us and talking in our bathroom one morning from the room beside. Our beds on both occasions were very comfortable and had some amazing sleeps here.

Front end service was very friendly, helpful and professional. Breakfast in the restaurant was delicious. They have a buffet for $9.99/pp.

Also, if you're a Red Lion Club member the waive the Pet fee! This is such a great perk! So sign up now.

We would recommend this place, Red Lion as a brand and would stay here again if we were back in Spokane.

Red Lion has defiantly updated a lot of their room interiors to more contemporary styles which is nice. The TV in the room on the other hand was obviously from the mid-90's which sort of surprised me. Nice environment to stay in for Spokane.

I have stayed at both Red Lions in the Spokane area and both are very nice. Very nice hotel and staff is very friendly. Rooms were clean and comfortable but a very large 2 story hotel so if you have issues walking ask for a room closer to the main lobby. I was fine and it was nice a quiet way in the back. If you plan to go to the Bar/restaurant skip it and go elsewhere. Staff is not that friendly and I went twice and should have gone elsewhere.

Room Tip: If you have walking issues ask for a room closer to the lobby or resturant

Was in for one night on a business trip. I thought I'd try and make it to the hotel just using my mind and road signs from the airport and you can totally do it. Nice and straight forward. There was loads of parking which is always nice. The front desk staff were efficient and polite. I stayed in the river building on the second floor. It was a bit noisy from some construction there were doing in the afternoon but no problems at all at night. I slept great, their beds are really comfy. I had breakfast in the restaurant and it was really good as well. I ordered off the menu but they have a traditional breakfast buffet if that's what you prefer.

Room Tip: my room had an odd number and looked over the parking lot, I think even numbered rooms must look ove...

We stay at Red Lion properties because they are dog-friendly, but this one needs some updating. Hallways are dark and dated, and bathrooms are worn. And what hotel doesn't have flat screen and pay-per-view movies? We also thought we'd have a river-view room but the buildings are designed at an angle - the only view rooms are set back next to the pool, which on a hot day is probably the nosiest place to be.

The best thing about the hotel is that it's on the River Walk Path which leads into the old World's Fair grounds - an absolutely beautiful walk. Head back before sundown, because the path is very poorly lit, and a fair amount of sketchy people hang about in the park.

A much nicer property is the Red Lion at the Park - new, which view decks, and 2 pools.

Room Tip: The only real view rooms are over the pool.

Thank you fro the great review we are glad to hear that you enjoyed your stay here.
We are very lucky to have such a great location. To be so close to the site of such a historical event makes it all the better. Our restaurant is one of the best kept secrets in Spokane with such a great view of the river its a marvel of its own. So tell you friends about this great secret and when there are here tell them to stop by the front desk and ask them about Expo 74 our front desk staff are very knowledgeable about Spokane history.
We look forward to having you come back and stay with us soon!!!
