This is a long, narrow park along the freeway (silencing walls exist) on a slight slope. Natural areas, grassy fields, a creek, and identifying markers provide something for everyone. Take extra clothing for kids; I've never gone with them and not had one fall in the little creek or small pond. If you want to see which trees do well in our climate, or how they look when full-grown, this is one place to do so. Don't miss the ornamental cherry grove in spring, or the glen at the far end of the park. You'll think fairies exist when you wander the damp trails there.

You have to want to go to finch Arboretum. It's not that easy to find but well worth the effort. In the spring the cherry blossom trees are a riot of color and the rhododendrons when in bloom are spectacular. A great place to just walk around and be at peace.

peaceful, spacious, lovely. Went on a field trip with the summer camp class and there is a lot of room to roam and something for everyone.

Great place for a walk if you overlook the traffic noise from I 90 .
I am very curious about trees and shrubs especially in a different locale. Too few were labeled. Many had embossed "dog tags" but we had to really hunt for them. If they could get the $$$'s a GPS enabled map/app with descriptions would be awesome.

What a shame the Arboretum lies between 2 highways/major roads. It was hard to hear the birds due to the traffic noise. But it was still worth the stop and time we spent looking at all the trees and shrubs. Make sure to pick up a guide sheet before starting out, there are lots of areas that can be missed if you don't wander around a bit to look for the various areas.
