We truly enjoyed our stay in the Rigby Suite at the 1899 House in Browne's Addition. Our upstairs room was spacious, very comfortable and nicely appointed. We enjoyed the sitting room in the evenings and visits from the resident cat. Gillian prepared delicious breakfasts and we appreciated the healthy snacks for later in the day. The Browne's Addition neighborhood is very historic and fun to explore on foot. There are a few nice restaurants nearby and downtown Spokane is close.
I cannot express enough what a delight it was to be a guest at 1899 House with Gillian and Louie. The home is beautifully decorated in the charm and comfort one would expect to find in a picturesque southern home. Yet, nestled in the Historic district of Spokane, this home is welcoming and inviting to friends from all regions of the globe. Our stay for two nights was the highlight of our week-long trip to the Northwestern corner of the U.S. Gillian and Louie were the best first impression of the region we could have hope for. Both were very welcoming and hospitable. The breakfasts and snacks prepared for us by Gillian were all most delicious....and nutritious! We were able to gain a good sense of the area by sitting and talking with the innkeepers. They were very knowledgable about the area, places of interest to us, and where to find the best meals in town. My husband and I hated to leave this beautiful place and all of its charm and tranquility. We look forward to visiting again!
