Krispy kremes are smaller than a normal bakery doughnut, with less flavor, plus a more oily feel and taste. Every grocery store bakery I've ever gotten doughnuts from had FAR better doughnuts. I know these Krispy Kremes are popular in some parts of the South, but I have no idea why. I've never tried Krispy Kremes elsewhere, but I'd assume they are made exactly the same everywhere. If you like traditional, fresh, bakery doughnuts or donut shop doughnuts; these Krispy kremes likely aren't for you.
