j We had just time to grab a snack lunch - received an appropriate welcome and the wide selection of local beers fully explained - with a couple of samples thrown in -
We shared a 'K is for Krab' sandwich - it was brilliant - served with a soup of the day, cheddar and brocollli (yes...it does work) the crab in cheese and olives was imaginatively served in a croissant rather than bread - superb texture.
If you are looking for a carpetted 'bistro' with badged-up, uniformed staff screeching corporate platitudes at you every thirty seconds, then this is not for you. This is a REAL pub/bar - loads of space - great background music (to my taste at any rate) imaginative food and good beers.
For anybody still mourning the loss of the 'Alki Tavern' in West Seattle - then get down here where the spirit lives on.
