“Columbia River water front bar and lunch spot”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 9 July 2012

CXXX (130) overlooks the Columbia River. The seating on the sunlit deck provides a great setting for beer and a snack after climbing the Beacon Rock's 660 foot hike to the summit and spectacular views. We enjoyed beer and a very good quesadilla with a home made tomato bisque. CXXX is informal and good place for the whole family. The attentive staff, good parking, and tall tree park next door invite us to go again when we return to the area for a tour of the Bonneville Dam.

“What's the name of this place?”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 1 July 2012

We stopped after driving around town a bit (not difficult in Stevenson), because we knew some of the best spots are a little out of the way. This was not so much out of the way, but location was on the river. It took a few minutes to dust off my Roman numerals and figure out the name. About the time I did, I saw it written out: "onethirty" on a door. Luckily, our hefeweizens arrived and I didn't have to think about it anymore. Great beer, but burgers are the stars here. A basic cheesburger for the good-looking one and an Inside-out burger for me. Both were very juicy and flavorful and more than enough to eat, but the Inside-out burger, with bleu cheese and grilled onions stuffed inside the burger before cooking was tops! Accompanying fries and onion rings were good but not outstanding. The staff was friendly and quick. Sitting outside along the Columbia River watching wind-surfers while we ate made it a good experience. But, back to that burger...if you are traveling along the Washington side of the river or just have a vehicle that gets good mileage and most of a day to get there and back, it's worth it for that melty bleu cheese, tangy onions...Where are my keys?!

“Captivating views, friendly staff, tasty entrees, good prices”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 15 May 2012

This review is for 130 Bar and Grill (the sign is in Roman Numerals - it reads "CXXX")

We arrived around 7pm, on the first somewhat warm and pleasant Saturday of the year. CXXX has a large outdoor patio overlooking the Columbia River, which is where we chose to be seated. The patio seats about 40 people perhaps - I think about 35 were already seated when we arrived. Although it was still a bit on the cool side, the plexiglass walls held off most of the wind. If you are unaware, Stevenson, Washington - actually the entire region, is known for its terrific winds. That probably explains why the river is covered with wind surfers of all sorts, especially this time of year. Anyway, back to the story; err, review...

We were seated with a welcoming smile. Good start. Our experience only improved as the evening progressed. The wait staff is knowledgeable and engaging. They also don't seem to require notepads. Maybe they would for a larger party... 130 has a pretty good selection of local wines available. Excellent salads, well-seasoned steaks, crispy, cooked-through grilled vegetables. We didn't try any desserts although they were awfully tempting.

All in all it was a great dinner, an enjoyable experience. We'll be back. My only other recommendation is, don't go there expecting to get in and out quickly. Take your time, enjoy the view. You might find yourself frustrated if you are in a hurry.
