We arrived on a beautifully sunny Sunday afternoon to celebrate my birthday. The setting is beautiful and the common spaces in the Lodge quite welcoming and pleasant. We enjoyed the couples massage at the spa, followed by a relaxing lunch outside by the hot tub, secluded and quiet, no kids!!
It went downhill from there....
The room was a disappointment, very basic, nothing to rave about. My daughter ordered a meat/cheese/fruit tray plus a bottle of wine to be delivered to our room upon arrival. It appeared several hours later. One mystery meat looked like Spam. Breakfast the next morning was average.
My suggestion, if you live in the area or traveling that direction, is to stop for the day and enjoy the spa or a round of golf. Don't waste your time/money on accommodations.More
