We enjoyed being close to the exhibits, being able to take photos, using the movable large letters to create a personal message for a picture. We enjoyed the variety of art works.

This was our second visit. I was sure our visit today would not be as good but I was total incorrect! We both loved it! They had a visiting artist, who had been commissioned by the queen of England to do a bald eagle to go in a JFK museum in Ireland, so Mr Curtis, the artist and reknown crystal cutter was there creating this masterpiece! We had a wonderful docent who was also a great story teller! She told about the current exhibits with such enthusiasm and a bit of humor. Her name was Carla and she knows all about glass and the art of glassblowing. We loved our hours spent at the museum and look forward to another visit again in the future! The Glass Museum and the Lemay auto Museum should put Tacoma on the map as a city to be sure to go to!

The glass exhibits was really worth looking at. Various aged children have blown glass and their creations are displayed in a hall on the way to the rest rooms.

Echoing some of the other reviews, most of the good stuff is outside the museum. There is a reflecting pool and the bridge that has some really great pieces in it. The gift shop was pricey and oddly most of the items in there were not made in the USA, they came from China or Ecaudor! What the.....

Another tip. try street parking and arrive toward the end of the day. it's not that big so 1hour is plenty esp. if you aren't that into glass.

Having been to the Corning Museum of Glass in Corning, NY, this place was a major disappointment. The gift shop had better displays than the gallery itself. Very few exhibits, though the actual glass blowing was interesting if you hadn't seen glass blowing before. The administrators need to visit Corning to see what a Glass Museum should be. It took us about 10 minutes to go through the whole place.
