“Great place for families and kids”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 1 September 2013

Wright Park is a nice family park with play areas, walking trails, picnic areas and a playground. There is a small pond with abundant waterfowl (please don't feed them!). Strategically placed benches and picnic tables provide plenty of places to sit and talk or read.

“Been coming here since the 60's”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 27 August 2013

One of my favorite places in the world. Love the trees that have markers on them. Someday would like to take a tour with a person who really knew the history and the names of all the beautiful foliage and trees. They have re-done the pond, which is so pretty now. The splash park is great for the kids. I still find the restrooms scary, and most of the time I see homeless people sleeping. But it is a beautiful park to picnic and play.

“An Urban Gem”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 30 July 2013

Wright Park in Tacoma is located so that the Stadium District is at one end and 6th Avenue is at the other. It is a great gem of a park that has been a favorite with our family for just about forever. It is 27 acres that feature the Seymour Conservatory, duck pond, playground, walking paths, and broad lawns. It is a cool spot when the summer gets warm and always interesting no matter what the season.

The park has a large number of ancient and historical trees making it well worth exploring. If there is a drawback it is that on the day of our visit the duck pond needed a little housekeeping. Outside of that, Wright Park is as close to perfect as it gets.

“Wright Park”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 29 July 2013

Wright Park has a very large number of trees from around the world. Their names are on plates on each tree and it makes for a very interesting stroll through the majestic tree lined pathways. The park has an excellent children's playarea with water features, pond with benches and a walking bridge, as well as avery large bocce ball or croquet field.

“A lovely place for a brisk walk!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 29 July 2013

Wright Park is nestled in the wedge between the north end and the Hilltop of Tacoma. It has several paths to choose from so you can either walk around or through the park. The pond has been renewed and several beautiful statues have been refurbished. It is a delightful wedge of Tacoma History!
