Strolling around the downtown area of Tacoma and stumbled on this place, bar looked busy, so stopped in. It was Happy Hour, no big deal had a glass of wine & beer.
Decided to eat dinner there, mistake! Service was extremely slow and when we finally received entrees was rather surprised. Portions were quite small for the price we paid. As far as taste of both entrees, just so-so.
Will not return.

Costco was selling the gift card for $64 for 100 instead of $80 for 100. So I bit it and went to try it. On a Sunday early evening, it was happy hour which sweetened the deal even further. This is what I ordered:

Soup Du Jour, Corn Chowder - it was average and not much to write about
Pork Tenderloin - a bit lack on the flavor side, served cold
Banh Mi - the cole slaw on the side was trash and didn't appeal to the taste buds at all, the sandwich itself is quite delicious
Juny's Cuban Sandwich - it is just a sandwich, nothing special about it. However, the chips that came with it were super tasty!
Faux Gras - a failure, tasteless
French Fry Nirvana - the fry itself can use some more flavor, the fried garlic and rosemary were interesting. If they could incorporate the fried garlic and rosemary into the fries, it would be a delicious dish.
Olives + Almonds - very few almonds and the olives were ok, not worth the $10, or even the $5
Meat Candy - interesting taste, but didn't tickle the taste buds
Wild Mushroom Pate - now that is an appetizer to go for; you can taste the variety of mushroom. I ordered it twice!

Made reservations but showed up just a little early. Seated real quick though. Great service and good atmosphere for a date night.

Two of us sat in bar, excellent happy hour menu. Well above average selections ranging from smaller bites to fairly big plates. Chef puts his spin on dishes, from 'worlds best onion rings' to Vietnamese sandwich (Bahn mi)... Good Caesar salad ( add the anchovies!). Delicious sliders...duck sausage??? Yummy adult Mac & Cheese.....or a serious grilled cheese. really, too much to remember, check out the menu.....great values for some killer appies !

Only 5 or 6 beers on tap, but a nice selection of well prepared cocktails.....

Relaxed atmosphere, a mix of ties and Jeans.....

Great place to meet friends.....

Thank AL P
