Calling this location a "motel" is a misnomer. The rooms are privately owned. Therefore, when checking in, you will be required to sign a contract and intitial a number of stipulations that say the on-site management can levy any number of additional charges for not leaving your room "exactly" as you found it.
Therefore, if you treat this "motel" like a motel and do not, for example, clean up after making coffee or remove your own trash to the dumpster outside, you will receive a post -visit phone call notifiying you that you've been charged an extra $40 for maid service (three figures for "any indication" that you smoked in the room). The caller will also note in her message that if you have a problem with that, allow her to remind you that you signed a contract and oh by the way they took pictures of whatever typical motel mess you left behind.
That said, if you're willing to assume the rate is really more than stated once housekeeping is added after the fact, don't mind "hospitality" that treats you like an interloper, enjoy signing legal contracts akin to joining a condo association for a weekend stay, and want to do your own housekeeping as if you were moving out of an apartment and hoping to get your deposit back, then the rooms and the location are really very nice.
The rooms -- suites, actually -- are meticulous and have numerous modern anemities -- in a region where lodging is generally scant and NOT very high end. The view is also outstanding. So if escalating rates and snitty management doesn't phase you, this is a super place. Unfortunately, I can't recommend it.
