“Cameo Heights Mansion Review”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 29 June 2014

Just completed a 4-day stay at Cameo Heights and loved every minute of it. We made our reservations very late, so we ended up having to move from one room (Asian) to another (Spanish) for a couple of nights, and then back again. But the owners and staff were so accommodating, that didn't affect us one bit.

The property is absolutely beautiful. Every guest room is meticulously appointed and clean. You'll be encouraged by the owners to inspect every nook and cranny if you like. They even have a fun little game they invite you to play where you'll be doing just that. I won't spoil the surprise if you haven't been there, but believe me, you'll not be disappointed with the cleanliness of your room or the entire mansion. The owners (Alan and Deanne) are wonderful people. And the staff they have working there couldn't do enough to make sure our stay was enjoyable.

Every morning at 8:00, we were treated to an in-room wake-up beverage (coffee, tea or juice) and pastry (and morning news letter from Alan - which I truly looked forward to reading every morning), followed at 9:00 a.m. by a full sit-down breakfast in the restaurant area. Deanne did most of the cooking at breakfast although Alan chimed in one morning showing us all how to artistically cut up an apple to make it look like a swan. I would never have guessed he was that talented. All fresh ingredients. Deanne even smoked her own sausage one night to serve in the next morning's frittata. Incredible attention to detail throughout.

We ate dinner at the Vine Restaurant one evening in the mansion and loved every bite. The chef (Nathan) is incredibly imaginative in his menu selections and presentation of each course. Came to our table and explained each ingredient, even down to the 5 or 6 different cheeses he served on the cheese plate. My favorite course was the shrimp ceviche appetizer. If it's on the menu when you go, don't pass it by. If you find the restaurant price for the 7-course meal a little high or think 7 courses is too much food, you can pick and choose your courses a-la-carte. But I would strongly suggest doing all 7 courses. The appetizer and entrée courses were very generous, but the others are just enough to satisfy and get you ready for the next. Loved it all and thought it was worth the price we paid for a special-occasion dinner.

We truly felt this was more like a family visit than renting a room on vacation. Very comfortable accommodations and we were treated superbly. We'll definitely be returning.

My husband and I live in Pasco, WA, local to cameo heights, and we love it so much we have made it a tradition for the last 4 years to go annually. We have traveled to Italy and the view of the mansion transports us back there. From the spectacular food, to the comfortable, exotic rooms, and beautifully landscaped grounds our experience is wonderful every time. We can't wait to watch the stars from our sky light French reserved room next time and read the story of our years romance we left at the mansion in a sealed envelope to read upon our return.

What a terrific find between Walla Walla and TriCities. Cameo Heights is a good home base for wine tasting in the region. Plenty to do once you get there with amenities like a movie room and pool area. The rooms were exceptional with European decor and architecture. It's a one of a kind property that features an exceptional chef and extensive wine list at reasonable price points. This is a very secluded property so once you are there plan to stay put. One of our top places in this country and all of Europe. Check out their website....it's very representative of this outstanding property.

Room Tip: Plan to stay and enjoy the excellent dinner menu and local wines. It is removed from major cities b...

We have stayed in many places around the world, and Cameo Heights is by far the best. Every detail has been carefully considered and accounted for excellently. The rooms, the beds, the baths, the food, the theater room, the guest lounge, the fire pit, the pool, the delicious food...including fresh from the oven fruit pastries delivered as a wake up call.......are all perfect.
Alan and Deanne take inn keeping and customer service to new standards of excellence. Be sure to eat at least one meal at the Vine restaurant....and do not leave before breakfast! You will not be disappointed in a stay here! Guaranteed!

Room Tip: The downstairs Spanish Room has a fireplace, spa tub, and steps out onto the pool area. Perfect for...

I can't say enough about Cameo Heights. We were looking all over the NW for a special place to "get engaged" and celebrate. Who knew that two golden oldie yuppies would find the perfect location so close to home. We found a private spot on the grounds to have our special ceremony and returned just in time for a fantastic, creative, multi, multi-course dinner! Unbelievable! Dinner was served on a patio overlooking the pool area with the most delightful waterfall. Acres of apple groves, cherries, and a vineyard surround the property. We stayed on the top floor in the English Suite where the view was amazing. The owners have thought of everything, absolutely everything, to make their guests visit memorable. Can't wait to return!

Room Tip: The English Suite is the only one on the top floor and is very private. The suites that are off of t...

My wife and I recently got married in Minneapolis, MN and did a road trip honeymoon back to our home in Seattle, WA. We stayed at several b&b's on our journey, and this one was the best by far!

We stayed in the French suite and it was perfect! It has a view of the apple orchard, a giant soaking tub, and three skylights above the bed. The seven course meal was the best we've had in Washington. The staff was great. We love this little gem :-) before leaving, we booked a room for next year.

If you're looking for a romantic getaway, there's no need to look any further. This place will dazzle your socks off!

Room Tip: We peeked in the other rooms, and you really can't go wrong with any of them. We enjoyed stargaz...
