“Interesting little museum”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 26 November 2013

The curators of the Two Rivers Museum in nearby Washougal are meticulous in their efforts to chonicle the history of Camas and Washougal. The museum is small, but has some fun displays and photographs. There are lots of stories to be told as well if you get one of them talking.

The location of the museum is great becuase it's across the parking lot from one of the very few Pendleton Woolen Mills still in operation. One can take tours of the mill, or simply enjoy shopping at the adjacent discount factory store.

“Kids and adults love it?”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 18 February 2013 via mobile

This little-big museum on the outside is deceiving. Sits across parking lot from Pendleton Woolen Mills and their outlet.

Stepping inside are many local Indian artifacts and a beautiful story about White Wing, an Indian princess and how she came to marry and live at Fort Vancouver.

The docent volunteers have many stories to share and history is seen from logging, medical, farming, kitchen appliances kids have never seen, dolls and there's even a pioneer wagon in the carriage house.

Historical photos abound for both Camas and Washougal and it has postcards of both, hard to find. I take people here from out-of-town, then the outlet and a nice lunch in town.

“Terrific community historical museum”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 5 September 2007

Two Rivers Heritage Museum, off HWY 14 in Washougal, Washington, is a charming local history museum packed with memorabilia and community information. A must-see when traveling through the Columbia Gorge, visiting Vancouver, Washington, and the Columbia River, or for locals interested in the history of their area.
