We met friends for drinks after a day at a conference across the street. Being from the west side of Washington, we were all thrilled to actually be outside sometime before July and not monsooned on for once. The deck outside is great for groups and they have propane heaters available if it gets too chilly. You are far enough away from the street and parking lots that you aren't asphyxiated by car exhaust. There isn't a spectacular view off of the deck but we weren't too picky since we could actually get outside. We didn't partake in the food portion of the grill but several did and the food looked okay. Service was very friendly but a bit erratic. Conveniently located across from the convention center so plenty of parking and definitely in walking distance of that and several hotels.

We visited twice. Once for a quick beer during a lunch break. The lodge feel and wood smell created awesome ambiance. Visited again after our conference and sat outside on the ample patio over looking the train tracks and walk over bridge to the riverside park. Very relaxing.

Supposedly this place is up for sale. Used to be the best spot to eat in town for special occasions. They do have a good happy hour bar and menu. The drinks were great. The fried foods were good. The steak was cooked right but the sauce with it was barely warm and tasteless. Needs a general cleaning. I hope the new owners get it back to its former glory. The prices were way above what is comparable to nearby restaurants.

Pleasant location in a bldg which is over 100 years old. Lots of parking. We chose the Asian Riblets for a starter and it was perfect. Put this menu item on your list when you dine here. Not being overly hungry we chose the 'new' shrimp salad and had them split the order. With the riblets this was enough for us. Add a glass of Hilex cabernet wine produced in the Columbia Valley - what else can I say?

We enjoyed our evening here and would make the Applewood Grill a part of our next visit here.

We went here for Valentines Day with a group of friends. The location is in a old stone and brick packing shed which is very cool. The chicken and steak both were old as was the rice. The 1 small piece of french bread we were given was flat with no taste or texture. It was served with a very low grade of whipped margarine. The salad was the typical lettuce carrot blend with what the server said was homemade croutons. The blue cheese dressing was good but it was the standard purchased type. The service was not good, the server was dressed inappropriately, never refilled our water glasses even once all night long and was very causal about taking our order's. We left our friends and the food after paying and tipping and went to a much better restaurant and had a good meal.We paid twice for dinner but it turned out fabulous after we left the Apple-wood. Grill.
