“Very good!”
Reviewed 15 February 2014

Large portions, high quality! The owners are lovely and gracious. The restaurant is small, but adequate. The waitresses are helpful and courteous. The portions are large, but they will provide a doggy bag. All in all, this is one of the best restaurants in Westport and has a view of the lighthouse.

“Could be a nice restaurant if the owners wouldn't be so moody.”
Reviewed 7 January 2014

My husband and I went there for dinner after working all day. No body acknowledge us upon entering the establishment. We stood there for about five minutes, then turned around ready to leave. The owner stopped us and seated us. There were only three tables with guests. Another three tables were full of dirty dishes, waiting to be cleared. We ordered our dinner, along with a very nice bottle of wine. The owner brought the wine already uncorked to the table and pour it without letting us taste it first. The food was very nice, somewhat pricey. Another couple came in while we were eating. The owner very rudely said, we are closed. The couple looked around, it was only 7p.m. and the sign at the door said open until 8p.m. There were several empty tables, still only three tables with guests. We all looked at each other and shook our heads. About 10 minutes later, a group of four people entered, asking if they could eat dinner without reservations. Oh certainly, the owner replied, and immediately ushered them to a table. Again, all of us in this establishment looked at each other, shaking our heads. Then a young couple entered. They looked like they came just off the beach, not dressed in their Sundays best, but presentable. Without greeting them, the owner went up to them and asked them to leave, as there was no room without reservation. Well, that was about all we could take. Even though the meal was well prepared, the behavior of the owner was more than awful. She truly needs a lesson in how to treat people. Will I go there again? Most likely not.

“If it's fresh, why deep fry it?”
Reviewed 2 December 2013

We were there for lunch. No fresh fish on the menu. Everything is deep fried. Why? It's all fresh. I'll accept that for fish and chips and that's about it. Very pricey, not a good value. You will wish you tried one of the places in town. The clam chowder is very good, you can easily make a meal out of a cup or a bowl. Disappointing for the price and considering their access to fresh seafood.
