I'm biased. I live here. But I've also lived on the East Coast, West Coast and Gulf Coast, as well as overseas. We are very fortunate to have a restaurant of this caliber in White Salmon. We stopped for dinner last night, were amazed by the special (beef short ribs with Egyptian spices), and I realized I had never written Henni's up. The ambiance is excellent, note the copper and metal work by Chef Christiaan's wife Sarah and her dad. Great cocktails, local wines on tap, by the glass and bottle, and beers, small plates that can be ordered to make a great sampler meal...this is a fine place for a special dinner or a quick drink with a small plate or two. Highly recommend the spinach salad and the steak bruschetta...our go to favorite starters. Have had most things on the menu, as well as specials (love the duck, and smoked rib eye). Christiaan know his spices and how to use them! Go early for the happy hour specials. And if the place is full, don't be shy, sit at the bar!
