We stayed at Willows Lodge for only one night and it exceeded our expectations! The king size bed was incredibly comfortable and the bathroom with a jetted tub was perfect.
When we arrived we were greeted with a glass of wine and very friendly service.
Beautiful grounds and close to many wonderful restaurants.
We are looking forward to returning for a longer visit.

Room Tip: Staying in the middle of the week will get you a higher end room for much less.

Hello Michelle P -

Thank you so very much for choosing to spend some time with us at the Lodge. Glad you to hear you enjoyed your time and the jetted tub. We also appreciate your suggestion of staying Mid-Week for a great value. This is true many times during the year and we are always happy to help find dates that provide the best rates.

We look forward to your return,

Warm regards,
Matt

We booked into Willow Lodge for one night on a tour of WA and OR. The main purpose of the stay was to eat at The Herbfarm.

We arrived at 3 pm on a Friday and left the following morning at 8am. Being honest, this was by far the most disappointing stay of our trip to the US.

The receptionist insisted in explaining all about their restaurant, even though we explained that we were eating at the Herbfarm. The reception area was tatty and lacking warmth or appeal.

The room was equally uninspired. The bathroom felt tired, and the room was dressed with strange furniture of the type we would have expected to see in an old people’s care home (sorry Grandma!). Strange and disappointing.

Add in the hefty bill, and all I can add is that you should stay there if you must, but we felt very relieved that we were only passing through.

JammyH -

Thank you so very much for joining us at Willows Lodge and The Herbfarm on your recent tour of the Northwest. I am disappointed that you were unimpressed with your time here.

Clearly we could and should have done a better job of tailoring your arrival experience to your needs. Our reception team takes each guests stay personally and very much wants to ensure our guests do no miss out on anything during out stay. This enthusiasm was a bit out of place in this situation and I appreciate the feedback that will help us improve.

From your description you stayed in one of our 2 Herbfarm Suites which are often reserved for those attending the Herbfarm. Those rooms do have a different feel than the Lodge rooms so for future guests please simply request a lodge style room and we will be more than happy to accommodate.

Gorgeous West Coast design. We arrived to rose petals floating on bubbles in the Jacuzzi bath and pretty music playing in the room. Bathrooms have a shoji screen to open and close so you don't feel like you are in an enclosed bathroom space. The Herb Farm restuarant was fabulous. Breakfast at Willows was a home made and wonderful. Lovely, peaceful and romantic spot. There were a number of Microsoft couples there- the company provides this bonus to execs for a weekend of relaxation and romance. St Michelle Winery is close by and a pretty area to walk, I wish there were other areas to walk but we couldn't find any. We had the lakeside Woodmark Hotel recommended as another good place to stay for a couple's weekend, and have stayed there but found Willows much nicer for a couple. Woodmark has polyester bedspreads on beds, while Willows has luxury linens, nice soaps and all sort of extras. Willows is warm, inviting and lovely. Read about the Herb Farm restuarant and their 5 course menu with wine parings- dedicated chef who provides a great meal with local ingredients like local truffles, local cheese and so forth. One course was paired with a sparkling shiraz- weird and fun. It's nice to be able to try the great wines then to be able to walk across the driveway to the hotel. Other restaurant had a huge fireplace and great West Coast cuisine.

It's not what one would think when you think fo the word "lodge", but it is a very nice place to stay, and they are pet- friendly!!! A plus for us, as we brought our little one along, to celebrate her birthday, as well as mine. We were greeted welcomingly at reception. There was hot apple cider offered at a small table (which needed to be refilled and should be checked often; hint... it's those small touches that count sometimes after coming in from a very COLD outside. A guest should not have to tell the stafff to refill the dispenser)
The rooms are modern. The room we stayed in ( rm. 125) was abit dark in that there was not enough lighting, but a positive note(s) was that there was cookies( on the table) and milk( in the fridge) awaiting us, along with a lovely note for me ( for my birthday) and our pet ( for being a very important four-legged guest). Lovely bathroom; we loved the fact one can see the bedroom area from the tub ( a sliding partition). I also appreciate the being " green" in the fact there was not all this disposable shampoo, hand soap, etc... Comfy robes and slippers too! Note; the shower head in our shower room was not in the best location; the water would enter the toilet area!
We were suprised shortly after arriving into our room with a bottle of champagne! Mmmm, a very nice surprise! The birthday celebration continues into dinner at the Barking Frog restaurant. The food, staff and ambiance was top- notch! We cannot say anything negative about the overall experience about the restaurant... it was perfect for us. As the night ended and into the next day; one other complaint about the room ambiance is that one can hear the people above us walking about; not fun when we were trying to sleep in a little bit.
We highly recommend Willows Lodge and Barking Frog restaurant. Oh, also want to give a shout out to Fireside Cellars lounge in the hotel lobby area; excellent crepes!

I lovedd this place don't get me wrong and the things that prevented it from getting 5 stars are minor but annoying, at least to me. Overall I can't say enough about the staff and how helpful they were. The grounds are beautiful and in summer i am sure are very busy. I had some street noise at night, maybe due to room location. Somewhat expected but the feel of the hotel you think you are in the middle of the country. The rooms are beautiful and I am sure especially great if you are with someone special (business trip for me) the one thing that bugged me was when I took a bath and shower the shampoos, etc are basically bolted to the wall and kinda out of reach (especially in the bath tub) and I had a hard time getting anything out of them. Small I know but frustrating. other than that, a gem of place and would like to return for something other than business.
