“Best place to stay!”
Reviewed 24 December 2013

We frequently travel to yakima to visit family; hence, we've stayed at various places int he area. I'd say this is the best place...hands down! Staff are friendly, beds are comfortable and breakfast is great. They are also pet friendly! :)

I had water damage at my home so I was in this motel for 31 days!! EVERYONE I met here was very pleasant. I felt this was an outstanding motel! It was quiet, clean and safe. Customer service was the order of the day.

They served a very good breakfast every morning. The laundry machines ran for $1 each, a real bargain nowadays.

The front desk was always staffed by pleasant people. I dealt with Clemencia the most often. She was always friendly. Kimberly was one of the maids I visited with. They all did excellent work.

The location is ideal, as it's right on the greenway and the river is a great view. Town is just a couple of minutes away.

The price was very good. When I was looking for a place to stay, another motel in town charged $40 a night more and they weren't on the river or the greenway.

I highly recommend this establishment!

This hotel had really nice comments and deserved them. It is a small, family-owned chain, and it feels a little different from the usual hotel, just a little more personal somehow. The room was comfortable and clean, nothing special. The guest laundry could be very helpful. It was very nice to overlook the river right outside my window. In fact, all the rooms have river views. I even saw a little river otter sliding down the bank. -- not your usual hotel experience. The staff seemed extra friendly, too. There are a couple of places to eat right next door and a free breakfast included. I'd stay there again if I ever go back to Yakima.

The building has obviously seen better days. The door was very difficult to open (and this must be a common problem as the front desk warned of this before we went to the room). The room was quiet and adequate, but the tub still had hairs in it and the whole place is a grungy brown inside and out. It's across the street from a car dealership that seems to play loud music all night. There's a walking path along the Yakima river behind the building, but otherwise not a place you would want to walk. Surprisingly decent mexican food next door and convenient to highway. No charm and not a place I would stay again.

Thank you for your comments and we are truly sorry you were not pleased with your stay. We will share your insights with our team and address the problems outlined. The walking path behind our hotel that you referenced is the Yakima Greenway Path, a continuous 10 mile paved walking & biking system, supported by a local non-profit foundation. Many of our guests enjoy the opportunity to walk or jog by the river, as do the locals, but certainly it doesn't appeal to everyone. We encourage any guest staying with us to immediately let us know if a problem arises of any kind. We want to solve any problems or issues immediately. Our General Manager, Christina Barnes, would like to convey her apologies personally and get a bit more information from you. Would you be willing to call her directly at 800.521.3050? Again, thank you for your feedback.

I had stayed here a while ago, and sadly it has gone downhill since then. The hotel is in a great spot but needs some serious renovation. The bathroom was small and had brown, dirty grout. We were in a handicap room and the shower did not have a showerhead that stayed in one place so you had to hold it to bathe. Overall the room needed some updating and smelled strange.

The walls are PAPER thin and you can hear everyone around you--- espicially those above you!
I will not stay here again- the location is perfect though so perhaps the Oxford Inn and Suites is much nicer!

Thank you for taking the time to share your experience. We are so sorry you didn't enjoy your stay more and will review your comments with our team. Perhaps when visiting Yakima in the future, you may want to consider a stay at our sister hotel, the Oxford Suites, which is a 3 diamond hotel and may better suit your lodging needs. Again, we offer our apologies and appreciate your feedback.

I thought I was booking the Oxford Suites which are right close by the Oxford Inn, so after a bit of confusion I landed in the right parking lot. All was good however, I had requested a quiet top floor room, and they were most accomodating and friendly. Grace at the front desk was especially pleasant and went out of her way to answer any questions we had. Our room was clean, large, and very quiet. We especially enjoyed getting up in the morning and seeing the sun streaming down onto the lovely river right outside our balcony. Breakfast was very good, and the attendant did an excellent job of keeping things neat and tidy. Would absolutely stay here again!

We chose this hotel as a stop on our road trip based on the positive reviews. We were disappointed. We didn't find it particularly clean. It felt tired. The bathroom was impossibly small. Breakfast was adequate, but not great and we were definitely struck by the disposable plates, etc. and no recycling bins. The walking path is fine, but you're still right next to the interstate. On the upside, we did leave some clothing in the room which they found and returned.
