“Wonderful time”
Reviewed 13 October 2009

I found Cherrywood by chance in my search for a B & B in this area and was immediately intrigued. I am always looking for new and interesting experiences and this was probably one of the highlights from our trip to Washington State . We stayed in the Longhorn which was lovely, although any of them would have been fine. We met and joined a camp fire with a couple of girl friends who were also staying the evening. They were smart and had purchased some wine, cheese and crackers and had their own little happy hour prior to the bon fire, because once you get there, we found it hard to leave. We were surrounded by pears, apples, grapes, horses.
It was a chilly evening but we were snuggly warm in the comfy bed. Breakfast was excellent. Then we were off on our horse/wine tour. As others have said previously, it was a leisurely ride and we never felt rushed. We had a delicious boxed lunch at the second winery and split a bottle of wine we purchased there with our new riding friends.
Our only regret was not having the time to stay another night but our time was limited and we had more things to do.
Upon returning to MN, friends would ask how our trip was we would always say and 'we slept in a teepee' and then would quickly add; 'this was not just an ordinary teepee but a very deluxe teepee!'.

We had such a fun time here recently and don't know where to start! The horseback winetour was what drew us to CherryWood. Our tourguide was April and she was very knowledgable and friendly. We stayed over night in a teepee which was colorful, clean and comfortable. Watching the sun set behind the teepees was a gorgeous and unforgettable sight. Later, we relaxed on a chair swing by the fire pit and sipped on some wine we bought on the tour. In the morning, we enjoyed a very filling and tasty breakfast. The owners and staff have an eye for detail and made us feel welcomed.

Oh my gosh!! My husband and I went to Cherry Wood for my birthday-what a fabulous time!! Pepper, her husband Terry, Tiffany, Virginia and April were all so friendly - they made this trip wonderful. The food was great, and no detail is left unattended. The horse ride was so much fun and leisurely-we were not pressured to hurry at any of the wineries-and the lunch they served us was wonderful and just enough. Sarah at Cultura Winery was wonderful-she set up a table for us in the winery where it was nice and cool for our lunch. I can not wait to do this again! lesgibson 2

The previous review describes Cherry Wood BB & B completely. We stayed in the Longhorn teepee for three nights, which was a wonderful space. Comfy beds!

The breakfasts are wonderful! So delicious! And Pepper is a great hostess! She takes care that all details work during your stay.

We took advantage of the horseback wine tour offered through the B&B. The guide, April, was fun, knowledgeable and made our experience so easy and comfortable. We were able to visit 4 wineries while riding through orchards of cherries, apricots, apples & pears and vineyards. A delicious lunch was provided by Pepper at one of the wineries. Any of our purchases were picked up and delivered to our teepee.

The pictures of the establishment on the website are spot-on; especially the title photo of the nighttime view with the teepees lit from within. The views of the valley are phenomenal with an amazing starlit sky at night.

Our stay was worry free and just delightful! I would stay again!

Cherry Wood Bed, Breakfast, and Barn is fantastic. My husband and I stayed there for just one night last weekend. They have tricked-out teepees and little vintage trailers where you can stay. We picked a teepee.

When we drove up to the house, Terry came right out and greeted us. He showed us to our teepee (we got the Spanish Trail teepee) while giving us a little tour of the property. Our teepee was about 20' wide, and inside was a nice, comfy bed for two with lots of nice fluffy blankets, an extra twin-sized bed, two nightstands, a few really cool benches, a great reading chair with ottoman, and a big mirror. The decorations were very colorful and the floor was a beautiful blue-green shade. It was fantastic and cozy. Right outside of each teepee is some kind of a sitting area. One had adirondack chairs, another had a wooden swing and a firepit. Ours had a cute little turquoise table with matching chairs right next to a little chiminea.

There's another small teepee for taking showers and there's a really neat outdoor sink area. It's a wine barrel fitted with a beautiful sink insert set up right next to a fence where a mirror is mounted. There's a little table nearby that has hand soaps and lotions and nice things like that.

Each teepee also has its own little "bathroom" area. They're actually port-a-potties, but they are set up about as nicely as you can make a port-a-potty. Each one was hidden behind its own fence. They had a little light inside you could turn on, and nice air fresheners. Our teepee had a little path leading straight from the front of our teepee to the bathroom area, which was a nice touch.

After settling in, we went for a walk down the road past the cherry orchards. The family who owns Cherry Wood also owns the orchards. It was almost, but not quite, harvest time. The trees had zillions of cherries hanging on them and it was nice just to walk down the road past the trees. When we returned, Pepper, the owner and innkeeper, had returned from her trail ride (they offer daily wine tours on horseback!) She asked us what time we'd like to have breakfast in the morning (included in the room price) and made sure we felt at home.

After checking out the territorial view, we ducked back into the teepee and settled down to read for a while. What a fantastic place to read and relax! The neat thing about the teepees is that when it's windy outside, it's even cozier inside because you can hear the wind on the canvas of the teepees, so it feels like it's almost stormy outside while you are nice and comfy inside. If you're a light sleeper, you might want to take advantage of the earplugs Pepper leaves out for you, because the noise of the wind in the canvas might be too much for you. We didn't have any problems with it. If you need to get up at night, they have left little flashlights for you, and there are robes, towels, and flip-flops provided. There are also a variety of magazines as well as brochures about local attractions in the teepee.

In the morning, Pepper sets out a pretty little table with coffee for guests to utilize at their leisure. Then when it's time for your breakfast, there will be a table set up for your party out on the patio. You can watch the horses and look over the neighboring vineyards with mountain ranges in the background while you have breakfast. Breakfast was amazing - and I'm a food snob, so that's a big compliment. Pepper will cater to any dietary limitations, but we didn't have any, so we had farm-fresh eggs, hash browns (not really what you're thinking though - they were potatoes and sweet potatoes cut up in cubes, seasoned and served up nice and crispy on the outside, soft and wonderful on the inside) and delicious pastries and turkey sausage. All of that with fresh fruit, orange juice, water with lemon, and coffee. It was an amazing breakfast.

The place runs like clockwork, but you never feel like a number. You are left alone to enjoy your stay, but they are there to make sure you are comfortable at all times.

We had a wonderful time, and plan to return!
