My husband and I stopped in for breakfast a few weeks ago. We were the first customers of the day but by the time we finished our breakfast, the place was getting busy.
Browsing the menu, my suspicions were confirmed. As with most 'diners' the vegetarian offerings are slim except for breakfast. There's standard 'diner' fare throughout the menu but they do have a "Rabbit Food" section on their menu - literally that's what it's called and I love the humor there - with salads for those of us who eschew meat, poultry and fish.
Our breakfast was great. Eggs were cooked to my specifications, food was served hot and our waitress was always at the ready for anything we needed. If a plate overflowing with huge portions is your thing then head for one of those greasy spoon chains like IHOP because Diddy's serves up portions like you used to get back in the good 'ole days - generous but not ridiculous.
Over all for a $7 breakfast, I think its good value for a locally owned eatery. The only reason for not giving it 5 Stars is the lack of any veggie protein-based lunch or dinner options for vegetarians. A simple veggie burger would be great.
