We were visiting the Yarra Valley a couple of weeks ago and stumbled on this historic pub. The motel owner suggested we visit as Monday night has the specials. And they certainly did. There were quite a selection of main menu items discounted to $14. I had a chicken parma and wife had a beef stirfry. Both were tasty and excellent value. Wine list had a modest selection of local wines. It never ceases to amaze me whenever we we stay in wine districts the pubs rarely have a decent selection of the local product. C'est la vie.
It was also trivia night and the hostess did a great job in making us feel welcome.
This pub ticks all the boxes for a casual meal and a drink.
