We needed a long weekend in this area, within striking distance of Manchester & booked at the last minute. We were treated to an excellent break. Nothing could have been better, lovely house & bedroom, peaceful countryside. Mel and Roy were most helpful and considerate, super breakfast. Even provided transport to an excellent nearby restaurant on the Saturday evening. This is a lovely property and we hope to return.

We stayed for two nights. We were met with a warm welcome by Mel and Roy, who were both lovely and couldn't be more accommodating. The room was of a very high standard, with a king size bed (necessary for my 6'5 husband!), shower and bath, all decorated beautifully. The breakfast was delicious! I will be recommending this B&B to other people, and we will definitely be back!

Room Tip: The Teal room was lovely.

Only stayed for one night, but wish it could have been for longer!! I will definitely go back and recommend to friends. The house and gardens are beautiful and set in wonderful countryside. A warm welcome is assured by Mel and Roy. The room was very well appointed with everything you required and the award winning breakfast was delicious with excellent choices!!

I stayed at Capernwray just for 1 night in November on business and it was chosen as it was close to where I was working. I arrived late evening but still greeted with a warm welcome from Mel. The room was very well furnished and comfortable. A great place to stay and would certainly recommend for business as well as a great location to stay for more than 1 night!

My husband and I stayed here for one night on our way back from Devon. We were instantly made to feel very welcome with tea and biscuits on arrival in the guest lounge. Our room was very nice indeed with a super king double and a single, together with a superb bathroom with walk in shower. Very manageable for my husband who has mobility issues.Roy took us to the local pub/restaurant later that evening in his car and arranged for someone to bring us back. This was so good as we didn't know the local roads and driving was difficult for us in the dark. Our bed was very comfortable, the room had everything you would need and the breakfast the next morning was excellent. I would have no hesitation in recommending this B & B to anyone. Thank you so much, Mel and Roy for an excellent stay.

Four days of luxury. Once again Mel & Roy have shown us the reasons why we keep returning to Capernwray, the friendliness, hospitality and attention to detail just to make our yearly break with them a very enjoyable and pleasant one. Many thanks Mel and Roy.
