Visited the Little India in mid October during a vacation stop in Charleston. Found the establishment ad in a visitors guide. Passed the establishment en route to the hotel. Also saw their ad in hotel room brochure. Decided to try it out for the evening meal. Although there seemed to be somewhat of a parking problem that required I circle the block a couple times before finding a place to park, it was worth the 1 block walked. Was seated immediately. Server and host were very friendly. After taking time to decide on food (never eaten at an Indian restaurant) the decision was made. Appetizer was very good. Main entree came out and was very substantial. Was not sure what some of the components were although the platter presentation was very appealing. The chef came out in person to describe each component. Food was real good. Flavor of sauce was not overwhelming or too hot. Presentation excellent. Portion size excellent. Excellent service. Had to package some food for take out. Very impressive and very satisfied with the choice.

Good indian food. The staff was attentive even with the buffet. The buffet was restocked and replenished several times while we were there. No menu offered. Parking is a nightmare, be prepared to drive around the block several times and to walk 2 blocks at least. No parking is the most common sign you see in this area. The picture that Tripadvisor is using has nothing to do with this establishment, they do not have a wine cellar but they do offer limited beer and wine selections. Appears to be a mostly local lunch crowd keeping this place going.

Lamb, goat, chicken, and lentils are all amazing. They really know.what they are doing with Indian food. Heat levels are controlled well so don't be scared. Mild food is very tasty without the heat.

The kabob platter was basically a half cooked chewy tasteless. The breads (rotis) seemed like were reheated and served, it was oily and 'crispy'. The chicken dish was absolute trash.
The waiters could not care less about our complain of the food.
Avoid at all cost.
