We have visited this resort 10 or 15 times over the past 10 years and each visit brings a new surprise...but, that being said, the staff as always is both genuinely courteous and professional. There is no special request that they will not attempt to fulfill.

Glade is truly a gem...from the accommodations to the facility, the restaurant to the tavern, the spa to the wellness center, the links to the mountain course...dollar for dollar, Glade is truly unmatched.

Both Glade Springs Resort and WV are wild and wonderful!

We are a family of four from NYC and took advantage of the very low off-season price. The resort is very nice and the staff are all friendly. There are so many activities that it is impossible to be bored. This is the first vacation we barely watched any TV because we were constantly out and about. The pool and rec center stayed open late which was convenient. The indoor pool was fantastic with one part having a gradual entry and another part having lap lanes. The water temperature was perfect. There is a very large hot tub with tiny, strong bubbles that were very relaxing. The pool chemicals were too strong though and wrecked havoc on our eyes and skin. The locker rooms were very clean with great amenities such as a water extractor for wet bathing suits, nice steam and sauna, shampoo and body wash in the showers, heat lamp just out of the shower, blow dryers, etc. There is a disco lighted bowling alley that was very fun, a cinema room, basketball, indoor and outdoor tennis, fishing, boating, archery, geocaching, horseback riding (fantastic, but pricey), and much more. The Easter Brunch was the highlight with a nice array of cold and hot dishes and very impressive dessert table. The Easter bunny hopped around each table to spend time with the kids. Each child received a box of animal crackers and bunny ears. After brunch there was an Easter egg hunt on the lawn. Children were divided into two age groups so the little ones would have a fare chance. Every child had a basket full of candy or prize-filled eggs! There were special eggs that won large prizes. We stayed in the executive suites and were very comfortable. Planning to return next Easter!

we r a gourp of 32 golfers and this was our 8th year at glade springs, and every trip gets better
we play a round the day we arrive then 2 rounds each of the nest 2 days then a final round the morning we leave. the 3 course meet every level of golfers abilty. woodhaven has many challenges and some blind tee shots but gets easier the more you play it , stone haven is our groups favorite, and the cobb is a park like setting. with some slope to the fairways and more water hazzards then the other two courses.
the proshop staff with justin (the director of golf) leading the way with golf professionsal kyle and craig assisiting made our golf experience great. with 32 players they make my trip easier.the proshop staff r among the freindliest people i've ever met, they are there to help organize the clubs and carts, and anything else u may need.

Room Tip: for golf groups i would recomend staying in either the manor houses, chestnut hill lodges, or the oak villas, we have stayed in them all over the years and all r centrally located. the buffet breakfast in the rotuntra is a get way to start the day the coffee shop was a pleasent surprise with great speciality coffee and fresh sandwiches

I have been going to Glade Springs for the last 10 years, it is the perfect stopping point for my family on the way down south for vacation from our home in Michigan. When you stop here you feel like your vacation has already begun. They have a tremendous amount of activities to keep even the most cranky car passenger busy, you can go for a hike, swim in the indoor or outdoor pool, hit balls on the gorgeous driving range (or stay an extra day and try out the beautiful golf courses, you won't be disappointed!), let your little ones take a trail ride at the equestrian center, or even have a family bowling night.

The food at the Bunkers Sports Bar is excellent, very clubby but laid back, and the TV's are huge, so it is a great place to unwind an catch a game after a long drive. The staff at Bunkers and throughout the entire resort are all welcoming and wonderful.

We have stayed at several different types of accommodations at Glade Springs. We typically bring our dog with us on our trips down South (we have a beach house in South Carolina that the dog loves to go to!), so we usually stay in the pet friendly rooms in the Executive Suites, but we have also stayed in the lodge rooms, and in a townhouse. Every accommodation has been very comfortable and spacious, although the pull out beds in the Executive Suites are getting a little dated and uncomfortable as my teenagers get older.

All in all I would highly recommend this as a great place to stop or a great destination for weekend golfing trips, family get aways, or a base for whitewater rafting or even skiing at the cute resort close by.

The executive suites are nice but the bathrooms need updating. Maids need to clean better too. Wonderful resort and amenities. Indoor pool needs some updating too. For the price it was definitely a deal but full price is not a value for the rooms.
