“2 Night Stay”

We arrived in pouring rain and were gald to get into this comfortable house. Peggy was very nice and chatty and her dogs liked us also ! We had booked the Lavender room which had a large spectacular bathroom with whirlpool bath as well as a separate shower. We were very happy with the large comfortable bedroom and also enjoyed the large period rooms downstairs . Peggy did nice organic porridge as well as fruit and waffles . We had good chats with her and other guests on the 2nd morning . A great location and only a short walk to town centre..

This is a lovely old house in a great location overlooking the city park of Elkins. Also very near several dining options within walking distance. Bed was comfy so we slept well. Our only issue was that the house and our room were chilly. The heater in the room worked ok, but kept shutting off. Breakfasts were tasty and I especially enjoyed the fruit blends Peggy made.

I love this B&B the owner is very friendly. We have been there twice now and we love it there! The Rose room was the room we had both times and it's very nice, clean and cozy. Breakfast was very good. It was served with a smile fresh coffee and fresh fruit. Beautiful dining room. The nice big porch is wonderful to sit and relax on. The park is just across the street. As far as we are concerned it is just a wonderful place to go and relax. We will be back soon!

Note there are only six rooms. Prices are around $100.

When we arrived, the owner seemed distant. The room in this 100 year old was spacious and well restored as were the other rooms and common areas but the outside needed fixup (which the owner is currently doing). There are no TVs but there is wifi. The owner did not mention it but I found va slip of paper with the passcode.

Bath was very modern with both a double size jacuzzi tub and a separate shower. Very nice!

The owner has only been in the b&b business for a year and her inexperience at welcoming guests shows. However, don't be put off. The next morning she opened up and we had a wonderful talk for more than an hour at breakfast.

Great location fronting on a park and across the street from the local historical college. It is not too long a walk to downtown and the tourist railroad.
