“Fantastic trail!”

Greenbrier River Trail
Reviewed 15 May 2014

Love this trail! Scenery is beautiful, the river is lovely, and the tunnels are fun. I'd recommend bringing a flashlight if you're going to go through them because they are pretty dark inside. The trail is very rural and hugs the riverbank for almost the entire distance. Marlinton is the largest town on the trail, and the Old Clark Inn is just a block away.

To me west Virginia is two states. Greenbrier trail is part of the nicer part of wva. The drive in the car from seneca wva was very nice. You will go through some towns thatvwill remind you of old west virginia. I dont mean thats a good thing, amyway I got on the trail at Marlinton wv. Marlinton is very cool, I rented bike close to the trail (which follows the old rail line) I rode only about 8 or 9
Miles, great scenery and very enjoyable.

A delicious ride, walk, or run along the Greenbrier River for 75 miles. Some camping is available along the trail, food is not available without a walk off the trail. Very easy grade north bound, but very well maintained.
