“True Local Color from Back-in-the-Day”
Reviewed 14 January 2014 via mobile

The Blue-White Grill is located on Queen Street - essentially the main downtown street. Metered parking is available on Queen or the cross street. The cafe occupies a single store front, so there is essentially one aisle with the counter and stools to your right and various booths to the left. The decor is probably orignal. Our waitress was upbeat and brought steaming coffee promptly. My sister had scrambled eggs which were light, creamy and fluffy. Biscuits and bacon were good quality. I had pancakes with blueberries cooked in the batter. An order consists of two large cakes - more than I could eat. The pancakes were grilled perfectly, but the batter could have been more flavorful (for my taste). The hash browns were large potato chunks - which on this particular morning were over-cooked. Prices are very reasonable. Will you rave about the food? The ambiance? Probably not, but your visit will result in the satisfaction that comes from comfort food and from supporting a local establishment.

“Yummy Southern breakfast in an authentic old diner atmosphere. Good Coffee too!”
Reviewed 28 December 2013

Everything we ordered for breakfast was good. Particularly recommend the sausage gravy over biscuit and the grits. We were surprised at how good the coffee was, totally unexpected for a modest small town diner. Very attentive and friendly staff. Loved it.

“Always good food.”
Reviewed 19 August 2013

We have eaten here several times since moving to the panhandle. They have the best baked potatoes and milkshakes. the 50'd feel of the diner is pretty neat too. The sandwiches that I've tried have also been good. Today I had the roast beef melt with boom-boom sauce. It was okay, the roast beef was sliced deli meat but the addition of the spicy boom-boom sauce made it good.

Whether we have breakfast, lunch or dinner, it's always a great meal - love the old school diner atmosphere. Best pancakes in the area.
