The staff was really friendly and helped with all our needs. We stayed in a very large King room.
Close to everything . We had a fun time on the roof top bar if you here you got to check it out.
We will be back.

The hotel was beautifully decorated and smelled delightful. The rooms were humongous and very comfortable in all respects. The lighting is a bit low and the towel rack did fall off the wall, however, those were minor things in comparison to the overall stay. The staff is superb (Brendan and David) so kudos to them for beibg so personable. The cleanig staff was just as lovely and alwats left the room impeccable. Lastly, the hotel had an amazig location, we were right by the University, yoga studio, and bars. We will be sure to stay here again!

Would definitely recommend. Clean hotel, friendly staff, very nicely decorated rooms, all for a pretty decent price. Make sure you stop at the rooftop bar if you're staying over a weekend. Also a great location for walking to the University, museums, and restaurants.

Stayed here for a night during the week. Our room was large, 2 queen beds and one large bathroom. Room seemed cleaned and maintained. The hotel is one block off the main street that has a mix of restaurants and stores. Chestnut Boutique Hotel offers coffee and some light wrapped pastries for breakfast. A great plus was free parking. Also WiFi is available free of charge. The staff was really friendly and helped out with suggestions for lunch. Would stay there again if we were in the area.

We stayed here for a night on our way to Florida because it had such good reviews. I found that we had mixed feelings about this hotel. For the good - the hotel was clean and well maintained with nice furniture and a comfy king bed. It also had one the the nicest Jacuzzi tubs in our room of any hotel I have stayed at.
The bad - the hotel is in a pretty shabby part of downtown, and quite a drive away from the main highway. The breakfast was a joke - poor coffee and pre-wrapped stale pastries in the lobby. never saw such a poor continental breakfast in all my travels. Front desk staff looked bored and uninspired. I dont think we would stay here again. Look for the chain hotels right off the highway instead.

Room Tip: Not a hotel for children. Stay at the chain hotels near the main highway

Stayed at the Chestnut Hotel for two nights visiting WVU and loved it. Have already booked another return trip. The entire staff could not have been more friendly and helpful. Our room was huge with a beautiful bathroom and large shower. Everything was spotless. The location is great, being one block off the main drag and easy walk to restaurants, bars, and shopping. All this at a great price. Would definitely recommend the Chestnut Hotel.

Stayed here two nights while on a long road trip. Both times, everyone I encountered on staff was friendly and helpful. The rooms are very spacious: we chose a king suite to accommodate the family, and there was a lot of room for the baby to crawl around safely and to have a separate space to sleep. One minor complaint: the low lighting throughout the suite went beyond moody; it made us feel that we were going blind. This isn't a deal-breaker, though: with everything else the Chestnut has going for it, we would stay there again.
