The North End Tavern is a locally owned and operated microbrewery offering a variety of styles of beer and excellent bar food. I highly recommend a visit. They also offer other microwbrews on tap and don't leave without enjoying a NET burger. Growlers are available for travelers staying in hotels with a fridge. The NET is a classic local hangout.

We were in the area to visit family and went to the NET for lunch. The NET brews several beers on-site and the IPA is excellent. The burgers never fail to satisfy and my wife enjoyed the salad, also.

Cool rustic exterior. Ample parking. It features a cool setup that includes a large formal dining area, a casual bar and a patio.
We were there for an NBA playoff game and they turned one of their televisions to our game upon request. No sound but no big deal.
We ordered deep fried mushrooms, deep fried pickles, a pulled pork sandwich and grill cheese. Everything exceeded expectation except the mushrooms. The batter was a bit undercooked leaving it doughy.
Grabbed a growler on the way out for later.
Our waiter was great and never directly rushed us. However, their posted hours were until midnight. At 10:30 they started sweeping up, putting chairs on top of tables and turning off lights. So we moved onto another spot for the 4th quarter.

Place was a little crowded, dark, and loud but the food and craft beer more than made up for it. The Hefeweizen seasonal beer was first rate. The steak and cheese sandwich was very good. Fries aren’t included with the sandwiches but the food is moderately priced and a nice change of pace from typical fast food burger fare. Would definitely try this place again. Dinner for two plus drinks wasn’t much more than it would have been at a fast food place. Definitely a solid B+

This is our go to for weeknight date nights, it's inexpensive and has great beers (including root beer) and the best battered fries. Over the years we've tried most of their menu and never been disappointed.
