Step into the past and your new temporary home in no-wheres-ville West Virginia.
Dilya will be there to greet you. She warms up quickly to her guests and is super lovely and accommodating, with a cute Russian accent. Her and her husband are very welcoming to everyone (it was a concern since this is West Virginia, not to mention the more conservative Cunningham House up the hill).
Once the rubber factory across the street's 8 am shift change whistle goes off, it's chow time! You'll probably wake up prior to the whistle with the aroma of fresh coffee and bacon in the air. Dilya will make you whatever you like for breakfast; you name it: pancakes, crepes (plain or cream cheese stuffed), french toast, egg sandwich, or their fresh sausage patties (it seemed to be everyone's favorite). The Arnott House itself is located steps from downtown Spencer with the renowned Robey Theater and quaint little shopping area. If you're passing through town and looking for a place to stay, I'd strongly recommend it.
