This is a better than average travel hotel, the site is situated on a busy road on the outskirts of Norwich but has a good restaurant and parking is free if you are a hotel guest.

The rooms are clean and well maintained, from the Hotel it's easy to drive into Norwich itself or explore Norfolk, hire a boat on the Broads or go to Cromer, Great Yarmouth is best avoided unless you like fried food seaside tat (although the sand dunes are nice)

We had the breakfasts each day which are worth the extra money, they have introduced hash browns which is a plus too

Good location to use as a base for Lowestoft, Great Yarmouth, the Broads and Southwold. Very clean rooms, towels changed daily and beds made everyday. The staff are friendly and helpful too. There is a Brewers Fayre attached with the bonus of two meals for £10 before 1830hrs.

This is a busy hotel location- even when arriving at 3pm mid week the car park was already 3/4 full with visitors to the neighbouring pub/restaurant.
In the hotel itself there is a great welcome from reception staff, providing a warm genuine welcome and explaining the hotel facilities.
The rooms are large and of a good standard, though some attention to deep cleaning is needed as there is visible dust and dirt around the furniture on the carpet.
The main problem with the rooms though is the lack of air conditioning. There is a vent controller on the wall although this does nothing and what looks like a conventional air conditioning controller on another wall has a message on advising that it controls just the heater and doesn't cool the room.
The hotel has provided desk fans in the room so are obviously aware of the sauna like conditions but practically you can't have the fan on all night due to the noise.
A comfortable bed and well sound insulated rooms (even at the front of the hotel near the road) show promise of a good nights sleep but the heat somewhat defeats that hope.
Breakfast choice is good with food quality high and again friendly welcoming service.
There's real potential here for a quality hotel - the staff and the rooms themselves have promise but work on the sauna like conditions and attention to detail with cleaning is needed to lift from the good to the very good rating.

Room Tip: On check out advised rooms at back of hotel slightly cooler as they don't have the sun all day!

Friendly staff, clean hotel and a good restaurant attached serving a good range of food. This hotel is ideally situated for the broads and east coast and was very easy to find of the A47. Would recommend to anyone.

We stayed here for 2 nights recently my husband 2 girls and myself.
The reception staff are very friendly. The room was a similar layout to other ones we've stayed in, a double bed and 2 singles for the girls. The room at first glance was clean but closer inspection showed the carpet to be worn and stained in places and the window needed a good wipe. Echoing the previous reviewers comment about the shower head. Yes it is impractical that the head isn't removable other premier inn's have been before and it does make for showering young children difficult.
We were on the ground floor, and no fault of premier inn themselves, but the people above our room were very noisy and this went on till 11pm. So if you want to avoid this request a higher floor.
But.......otherwise the breakfast next door in the Broadlands was yummy and plentiful. The only gripe was they didn't clear your tables as quick so plates and bowls got stacked up quickly and with 4 of you this isn't ideal.

My family (two toddlers included) had a short break at this premier inn. 28th 29th 30th July to visit the gogo gorillas in Norwich, Staff were pleasant and friendly in the hotel. The room was clean, Although considering it was over the hottest time of the year the only thing to cool the room was a tine fan, Surprised that there is no Air Con in this hotel. Another gripe was that the shower heads were fixed in position which is not ideal when trying to shower a 4 year old as the head is too high up. Also surprise at the size of the TV and that it wasnt widescreen not that this was an issue but i have stayed in Premier Inns and Travelodges that have decent sized TV's. Because of the heat in the room i didnt sleep at all on the first night, the second night was cooler so managed to sleep that night. The supplied Breakfast was good and everything was explained, we did have an evening meal in the adjoining pub on the second night, nothing special, staff werent particulary cheery. Did like the park and ride that was close to the inn, saved on paying a small fortune on parking in the city. I possibly will not use this particular one again and might look into one in the city itself for a return journey. That being said i wouldnt rule it out. Would be nice if they installed Air Con though.
