“I will never stay here again”
Reviewed 22 June 2014

We stayed for 3 nights in room 91, the room is adequate but a bit 'tired' with shabby towels, broken casing on heating control and a very worn out chair. There was also a double light outside our window which was angled into our room. None of that mattered too much, the problem was that the room was like an oven, it was stale and totally airless. The window was restricted to only open a fraction at the bottom so it was impossible to get any fresh air into the room. There was no air con, just a fan which was useless, it hardly made any difference at all. After the first night we complained and asked to have a different room. The two women on reception were very unhelpful, they said that nothing could be done and one of them advised us not to sleep under the duvet! Of course we hadn't slept under the duvet!! We had attempted to sleep without the duvet but the heat made it impossible to sleep at all. The more aggressive of the two women asked how we thought her staff felt having to work in this temperature. She also told us that it was even worse on the middle floor (our room was on the top floor). We would have left in disgust at that point, but as this was a business trip we had to complete the work. The heat in the room made me vomit and it triggered asthma problems. A formal complaint will be going to Premier Inn!

The Beefeater restaurant was very good, the food was nice, the staff were friendly and it was relatively cool in comparison to our rooms.

Room Tip: Ask for a room at the back in the older part of the building with windows that open wider. Avoid the...

Like all Premier Inns, very good sized rooms (this was a family room) and very comfortable beds. Didn't use the restaurant on this occasion but have used it in the past and its quite good food and good VFM. This stay was spoilt by the heat in the room, it was simply too hot, you couldn't open the windows properly, there is no aircon, they hadn't shut the curtains prior to arrival, it hadn't that that hot during the day and resulted in a poor nights sleep for all.

Although arriving late the staff were really helpful and friendly. Room was cool and comfortable and breakfast was excellent. Dinner was a bit tasteless (apart from the excellent onion rings) but we were very very late so lucky to get anything at all really!

This must be the best night's sleep we have had in this sort of accommodation. We stayed there 3 nights and weren't disturbed once despite the carpark being absolutely full so the hotel must have been busy. The staff in the restaurant were particularly friendly and helpful.I would highly recommend it. It only took about 12 minutes to drive into the centre of Norwich and there are loads of carparks there. We paid £4.60 to park all day.Would definitely stay here again.

Stayed at this hotel this week with my granddaughter. The hotel and our room was clean and comfortable. Staff were very pleasant and helpful. We were provided with plenty of clean towels and refreshments on a daily basis. I didn't think it was very noisy. We were not disturbed by the traffic although we could here them in the room above us sometimes. I had seen some negative reviews about the restaurant before booking but decided to try it anyway. If you prefer continental breakfast there is a huge variety of choice and it all tasted very good. However, the cooked breakfast, whilst there was also plenty of variety, it was somewhat dried out and this did diminish the enjoyment somewhat. Great choice of hot drinks too and again staff in the restaurant were very friendly and helpful. Parking was never a problem either.
