wonderful again except for the maintenance man who kept insisting the broken sauna was working when it was not. Customer priority is important; the maintenance man should have spare parts not excuses.

We stay here when we want to get away. Very nice, clean and quite. They offer great views, great pool and sauna. Very nice Marina if you want to bring your boat and rent a slip or cruise in on the boat for fuel or overnight.

We wanted a quiet few days in Door County and we found exactly that at Bailey's Harbor Yacht Club. When we wanted excitement (shopping, etc.) it was just a few minutes away in the towns on the West side of the Door peninsula. Our "Stateroom" had a Jacuzzi, was well kept and adequately equipped for a few days away. The room was equipped with a refrigerator, a dishwasher, electric stove burners, a coffee maker, dishes, pots & pans and silverware and of course the jacuzzi. The furniture was comfortable and the view both from the room and on the outside porch is magnificent. The sunsets are "to die for". BHYC has an indoor pool a whirlpool and a sauna, it also has an outdoor pool a whirlpool, several gas grills are available for use by guests, there is a nice lobby with games, TV and coffee and hot chocolate all day long. We found the help and the management personnel to be amicable and helpful. If you want a waterfront view ask for a "Stateroom". All the rooms at BHYC come only with coffee and salt and pepper so be prepared by bringing what you will need for meals and snacks. We stayed in Room 106 and loved it. We will be back!

Room Tip: We stayed in Room 106 and loved it. We will be back!

My husband and I accompanied my parents on a 4-day getaway to Door County. I booked the accommodations and was assured my parents' room would be "handicap accessible". It was only to the minimum extent; only had extra bars by the toilet and in the shower. A raised toilet, or at least the availability of a riser, and a low-lip shower-only stall would have been nice.
On the positive side, the rooms were very spacious and clean. Was nice having a full set of dishes, glassware, and kitchen towels available, as well as a dining table, microwave, coffee maker, and refrigerator. We had a ground floor, lake-view room with a patio door, outdoor table and chairs. I would suggest a room with the view of Bailey's Harbor (Lake Michigan) for the beautiful sunsets. It is very quiet; we never even heard the people above our room, or our neighbors. Courtside rooms face the outdoor swimming pool, which is open 8am-10pm, though my parents didn't have any problem with noise from the pool.
There are several buildings of accommodations, and the office/lobby can seem a bit removed. There was an ice machine and soda machine in our building, we never did find any snack or food area other than the coffee available in the lobby. Being that the resort is a bit out of the way, it would have been nice if they offered at least pastries and beverages in the morning, or a little café. Breakfast was not easy to find in the immediate area; neither are groceries. Had we known, we would have brought fresh fruit and cereal, microwave popcorn, and a few other snacks/drinks along. All in all, we would return to this resort, just come better prepared.

Room Tip: Courtside rooms may have semi-private entrances (share w/ 1 other). Lakeside rooms run a bit more...

We had booked a waterview stateroom for 3 days based on the beautiful photos and reviews, but when a Jr. Suite waterview became available before our arrival, we opted for that room. We wish we had stayed with the stateroom. Our room appeared dated, although we were told the owners had recently refurnished the room. The kitchenette was literally a painted cabinet that appeared to be plywood. There was no counter space so we used a table for the coffee maker and toaster. Dishes were provided so that was helpful. The bed was uncomfortable so my husband and I had a difficult time sleeping all 3 nights. We did discuss our concerns with 2 of the staff - a very nice gentleman and a woman who seemed to work all the time. It was not Ann who checked us in. Sorry I didn't get the others names. Both of these employees were very helpful and pleasant. We asked to see other rooms as we were so surprised that we did not have a room that reflected the photos on the website. We looked at a 2 bedroom with loft and a stateroom that were both beautiful and had great kitchen areas that were just as beautiful as the photos on the website. We were told the resort was full so could not move to another room. Although on the 2nd day we were told there was one courtyard view room available, we would have lost the waterview which we really wanted. So while the room was a disappointment, the resort itself is beautiful and clean. You can't beat the view. We enjoyed watching the sunset every evening with others sitting on the adirondack chairs at the waters edge. The first night was very quiet. The second and third there was a family with kids who were very loud - running in halls, banging doors, yelling (parents and kids). We knew there were no other rooms so didn't complain. We also couldn't watch TV in the living area one night because of the noise coming from this family so had to use the 19" TV in the bedroom. The bedroom only had 1 nightstand for a King bed. There was plenty of room for another so we found this odd. The bathroom is large, but towels are thin.

The pools are very nice. The grounds are beautiful. There is not a restaurant or snack shop anywhere close. For the price paid $189 - a continental breakfast would have been appreciated. Coffee/tea is available in the lobby, but the coffee provided for the rooms is awful - even with using our own bottled water. We loved Bailey's Harbor and found plenty to do and there are great restaurants - especially Bailey's Fish Market and Grille and Custards Last Stan. This is a beautiful resort and very quiet, but not worth the $.

We found a room online at the Bridgeport in Sturgeon Bay for $169 - 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, full kitchen, dining room and beautiful balcony overlooking the water. We stayed there years ago and will return there when coming back to Door County.

Room Tip: We were told Jr. Suite 120 was the best, but could not get that room.

This was our first visit to Door county and we will definitely be going back as soon as possible. We loved this location. Close to everything but you felt like you were in your own private resort. The pools were nice, the place is very clean.

Room Tip: Ask for something facing the water!

We stayed 4 nights at this resort in Bailey's Harbor. The resort is located off the main road, so there is no street traffic noise. We stayed in a roomy junior suite on the water at a good price point. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The grounds are well groomed. The outdoor pool looked inviting, but it was an unseasonable 60 degrees for July so we did take utilize the sun loungers. Our room was quiet. We never heard hallway noise, slamming doors or conversation.
The views were lovely. The room nicely appointed. Good parking. Close drive to all the overpopulated spots like fish creek, ephraim and sister bay without the crowds. Will surely return when visiting Door County.

Room Tip: Room 120 Junior suite facing the lake. Corner unit, quiet and secluded.
