We stopped here during our trip in Door County, Aug. 2013. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Be sure to ask for a map of the trails at the cabin. I have to agree that the bugs are kind of bad, but that's August in lots of places. Even with bug spray they get in your face when you stop. Ridges Sanctuary is a tranquil place with many trails, one of which leads to the beach on Baileys Harbor. There are two range lights on the property which used to help sailors enter Baileys Harbor. We were surprised to see many different kinds plants in such a small area. On occasion you might spot butterflies and other amazing creatures. We will be sure to return again.
