Went on a weekday and found the place busy. Staff were very friendly and kids liked to use the tree swing and bean bag game while waiting for food to come to the outdoor table. The food was good and reasonably priced. Scenic view over Kangaroo Lake enjoyable.

The food was excellent and plentiful! It has outdoor and indoor seating. Indoor has a bar/grill atmosphere. The waiter was very busy and rather brusque. Besides that, we enjoyed our lunch!

We were there on a perfect day, warm but not hot. Sitting on the terrace with Kangaroo Lake in the background. The waitstaff were extraordinary: fast and friendly. The food good enough to want to return. We had the 1/2 loaf of onion rings (so much more than the three of us could eat). The were okay, more fun than anything else. As others have noted, the slaw is very good, garlic mashed potatoes are very good, the German potato salad excellent. A good brat, a good hamburger, and just okay perch sandwich (not much fish - tiny breaded bits). All in all, the experience was a good one. Very relaxing.

Over the years I have had many great experiences at the Coyote Roadhouse, both fun and great food. Overall I would normally rate the Coyote as a 4 or 5.
Unfortunately I write this review based on our visit last Friday - We laughingly refer to to it as "the fish fry from hell".
We called ahead to ask if there was a wait, they told us to "come right over", there is no wait time for a table.
We took County road E and got caught in a speed trap, $175 later we arrived at the Roadhouse. When we arrived, we checked in with the hostess. She said there was a "small" wait. We grabbed a couple of beers from the bar and patiently waited on their porch - about a 1.5 hours later, they finally called our name and we were seated. We were starved and ordered immediately. My husband ordered the fish fry (all you can eat grouper), I ordered a salad. Our waitress came back to our table about 10 minutes later to inform us that the fish fry was sold out. My husband was disappointed, but we were so hungry, he changed his order to a cheeseburger. 5 minutes later we saw another employee change the "special board" to deep fried walleye. We called our waitress over and told her we would like to change my husbands cheeseburger order to the new special - walleye. She glared at us and told us she had already placed the cheeseburger order in the kitchen(it had not arrived), and she "could not" change our order. We tried to politely explain the reason we came (on a friday night) was to order fish. She argued with us for several minutes and then finally let us change our order to walleye
The irony in that whole night was later when my husband told me the walleye was the worst fish fry he had ever eaten....
Normally this place is a 5 star review.
