We had stayed next door at the Econo Lodge the last time I was here, this time I was traveling alone and decided to try the Rodeway Inn instead. Turns out that the trucker rate here is less than the coupon rate next door. Both places have lots of room for truck parking.
The place is old … I don’t think they build one level motels anymore unless you are really out in the sticks. Other than being old, everything was in good repair. My room had two doors, one to the hallway, one to the outside.
Other than that, nothing too memorable, clean, quiet and the temp control worked.
Breakfast was a unique twist, instead of the usual spread you could get a ‘basic’ breakfast next door at the Road Dawg. I think there were six choices, including egg and toast, two hard boiled eggs, biscuits and gravy … or take $2 off of any breakfast on the main menu.
Food at the Road Dawg was good, service was good, so I was back a couple of days later for the soup & salad bar.More
