We are on our way back from the lodge right now. We absolutely loved this place and can't wait to return. If you are looking for a quiet retreat this is your place. Unlike a lot of other places there is not a lot of staff around so you almost feel as though you are staying at a personal lodge that has a restaurant. There is very little staff around in the evenings.
I would recommend bringing snacks and beverages since there is not access to these in the evening.
Our room was adorble and bright. We had two screened in porches. We had room #6. #8 looked like a great option (the door was open while it was empty so we were able to peek in) it was much darker and had a fire place.
The food in the restaurant was good. Small selections and servings (at dinner) but had good quality and flavor.
We took advantage of some of the free use of the water toys, lawn games and board games, bonfire pit, etc.
I would highly recommend this place to anyone looking to step back from your current pace and slow it down. No phones, tvs or clocks in the rooms. A great place to spend quality time with your significant other and/or children.
