Camp Holiday Camp Grounds

Every morning just about 8AM you hear the owner's tractor start up. Listening to a tractor NON STOP for 7 days, everyday all throughout the day was ridiculous! Why doesn't he do all these huge projects (driving huge trucks on the beach coming close to campers AND KIDS, pulling trees, etc. in April when the camp is closed. The cheap owners charge a lot for everything and even let people set up camp next to our site at 10:30 PM!! The park is supposed to be quiet by then. Most people are so drunk that their talking (even though they think they are quiet ) wakes up our whole family for days. We came home exhausted from not being able to get sleep in the night or nap during the day due to all the mechanical buzzing that went on and on and on! These people who came to set up at 10:30PM were not done until almost 12A. They were talking non stop and we could hear them saying that they had never put this new tent up before. In pitch dark--why did the OWNERS let them do this. Then is gets worse.....the next day, the rude people's other family members come up and the OWNERS put them on the other side of us. So we were "sandwiched in between RUDE, LOUD, parents and teenagers walking through our campsite non-stop. Their fire pit was located almost right next to ours (poorly set up site by the OWNERS). So our nice quiet family time was wrecked. We ended taking home wood rather than sitting by these rude people. Here's the best part. The smoking was horrible. We are non smokers and to be in between 2 smoker's campsites was disgusting. The smell took over our site and in to our camper!
Why would there not be designated smoking and non-smoking sites? Horrible. The sites are on top of each other. There is barely and moving room on your site. You feel like you are group camping with weirdo strangers......The OWNERS want to get every penny they can so they have crammed those sites together. 2 different nights the owner had to deal with drunks blasting music out of their cars, etc. There was another night a drunk was playing guitar and singing at the top of his lungs at 11:15PM and NOONE did anything about it.
The owners are cold and detached to people that are not their "seasonal family" campers in their little "neighborhood". Will never go back and will let others know to stay away from this one!

I am a seasonal camper at Camp Holiday. This place is the best. One reason I love it is that it is very family friendly. After 10 oclock you can almost hear a pin drop. No loud parties!!! There is a large beach, a game and rec center with the best ice cream. The campground is clean and the owners do a great job.

The lake is small but great for fishing. The kids will always catch a sunfish. The campground offers canoe and boat rentals.

Another plus is that it is near the very nice town of Boulder Junction. Come during the Musky Jamboree! The northwoods are also beautiful.

We have just returned from a camping trip in Boulder Junction, Wi at Camp Holiday. The campground was exceptionally nice. The owners are very friendly and accomodating. The sites are large, grassy for the most part and very well kept ....as is the entire campground. Every site has free wireless internet and some of them have cable tv hookups. There are quite a few shower buildings. One of them seems to be brand new. The showers that we used had heated indiviual shower stalls. This was the first place I had ever experienced heated showers. They were extremely clean. It was wonderful. There was a nice playground for children, a lodge with some activities and a small store and concession stand. There are quite a few sesonal camp sites. It was very quiet and peaceful even though it was late July. We stayed during the week... I imagine it is noisier on weekends.

The only drawback, at least for us, was the small lake. The lake was down a hill and it had a nice beach and a separate boat area. This is a no motor lake. We have a dog and dogs are not allowed on the beach as is in most places. This left us unable to enjoy the lake as much as we would have liked to.

I would highly recommend this campground. The rates are very reasonable.
