“Great service”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 18 July 2013

This was the first restaurant we stopped in after our arrival to Cambridge. We loved the Philly cheese steak sandwich along with a bowl of french onion soup. After visiting Philly it has been hard to find any sandwiches that even come close to their traditional sandwich. This place does it! We liked the sandwich so much that we visitied the other restaurant in Fort Atkinson for lunch the next day! The french onion soup was excellent, not too salty like some places. Our server was extremely friendly and helpful in telling us about the area and local shops. We would definately return.

“Nice night out”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 22 April 2013

First time for prime rib here at Keystone. Not overly immpressed but was good. We come here mainly for the Fri nite fish fry which is very good. Service is not over the top but the food is prepared well and served hot. We return often and have not had a bad meal yet.

Two thumbs up

“Good mid-west value...”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 7 April 2013

My wife and I haven't been back to Cambridge for a Sunday brunch for over a decade and decided to go back. While the big, fancy, linen-clothed brunch places currently seem to be gone from Cambridge, the Keystone Grill caught our eye.

While not hoighty-toighty, the Keystone Grill is exactly what we expected walking in. The Sunday morning menu is a simply small four page affair with pretty much everything you'd expect from a mid-west breakfast "grill". My wife's American Fries were excellent, tasty and perfectly cooked. My own hash-browns were the that perfect combination of crispy on the outside yet fluffy on the inside.

There's nothing fancy or too special on the menu, but what they did have, they executed well. The furnishings were clean and relatively new looking. The staff helpful and down-right neighborly. While we arrived early (8:15am) and the place was close to empty, the locals appear to have started to dribble in as we were heading out. The apparent owner/manager came out as the locals showed up and was chatting with the regulars with a friendly bantering manner that made us feel right at home.

Even with the price of gas coming from Madison, it was still a cheaper breakfast than many a spot closer to town.

“Saturday Prime Rib”
1 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 29 October 2012

We celebrated our anniversary at Keystone Grill with a Saturday night out. Saturday's in Wisconsin usually mean Prime Rib. There were 6 of us who dined - the restaurant only made enough prime rib for 10 people (we know this as the next table was turned down since they were already out). We were the first to order as we had been on the lake all day and wanted to enjoy a nice dinner early. The prime rib was subpar, the duchess potatoes tasted like instant potatoes and all the portions of the prime rib were the same even though a few of the guys ordered king cut. Overall poor dinning experience and dirty dinning/restroom area. Will not be returning.

3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 30 September 2012

Cambridge is a small town with few restaurant options, so we asked our innkeeper at the Oscar Hanson House where to eat and he told us that this place had a full menu and good food. He was right. We had the onion rings which were beer battered and good, the Philly cheesesteak sandwich, and fries, and cherry pie. All were competently prepared. Nothing was so good that it blew us away. This place is just a modest bar and grill, so don't expect any bells and whistles. We went after dark and the lighting in the place left much to be desired. Also, the beer selection is dismal. If you want a good beer, go to the cute little bicycle shop/cafe across the street. I know it sounds weird, but they have an awesome craft beer selection and some delicious small dishes to snack on. Also, it has an indie, eclectic atmosphere. But if you want a lot more selection, you gotta go to Keystone, which offers sandwiches, pasta, prime rib, fish fry, and more.
