This has been our second stay at the Washington House Inn, once for our Anniversary and now for my Birthday and loved both visits immensely! The staff is always friendly and attentive, the breakfast...where does one begin eggs, meat, scones, breakfast pastries, cereal & fruit station, toast/bagels all so wonderful. This time we opted to stay in a room with a Steam Shower vs. a Tub/Shower Combo and it was fantastic that came along with a view of the historic downtown.

Washington House Inn is by far one of our favorite local getaways. We've stayed in several of the rooms over the years. The Ludwig Groth room is one of our favorites. When our sons were home from the Army we stayed as a family in the Dr. Frederick A. Luening room. Each room has been clean, beautifully decorated and comfortable. The staff is helpful and extremely courteous. The wine and cheese social hour is very pleasant. The breakfast is delicious! We park the car and walk about town, enjoying the shops, Silver Creek Brewery and the park nearby. Summer Sounds in the park each Friday night is all part of the experience! We often return late in the year to check out the holiday window displays and to celebrate our anniversary. There is so much to experience no matter what time of year you go. I highly recommend Washington House Inn.

Quiet, quaint, beautiful, charming, etc. etc. etc. We loved the Inn and the hometown feel of Cedarburg as we were made to feel right at home in celebrating the 4th of July.
The breakfast was excellent with lots of variety to choose from. The wine and cheese welcome party was phenomenal and helped us to meet other guests.
It was a wonderful two days and we hope to be back soon.

This is one of the best kept secrets in the state. I wish every person could experience a weekent at the Washington House Inn. It is not old, it is elegant from the updated bathrooms and beautiful furnished, clean rooms. Washington House has been able to maintain the old world charm and preserve its history while adding the lovely comfort one would find in an upscale bed and breakfast on the east coast. The people, town and just everything are exemplorary.

Room Tip: Pick rooms in the 'old country wing'. The best rooms are 212, 214, 216, 218, 222~ I have s...

Washington House Inn is a beautiful, historic inn in the heart of downtown Cedarburg. We stayed in room 220 - a two story suite. Room was clean and beautifully maintained. Complementary wine and cheese hour (featuring local wines from Cedarburg winery), and delicious breakfast. Would love to stay again

Whenever we're in the area we love to stay at this B&B. Each room is prettier than the next, full of character and very well maintained. Great rate for what is included - wine and cheese tasting in the evening, excellent continental breakfast in the a.m., including a hot dish, great assortment of breads, fruit and a few little extras! Staff is very friendly and the rooms are extremely clean - and I'm picky. You will not be disappointed if you choose to stay and this B&B!! Can't say enough about it!

Room Tip: All rooms are very different and have their own unique qualities. Haven't found one I didn'...

We had a pleasant overnight stay at this clean and well-maintained old hotel. The bed was comfortable but a bit soft, there were good reading lights and the large tiled shower with triple shower heads was quite an experience. The A/C was welcome on a hot afternoon but too cold to keep on. Thankfully we were able to adjust the temperature to suit ourselves. The afternoon cheese and wine hour and the morning breakfast were extensive and included numerous tasty options. There is limited comfy seating in the lobby and in one corner of the dining room. They have a refrigerator designated for guests' use which we used to store our perishable Wisconsin cheese and sausage souvenirs overnight. Not all restorations of old buildings are successful, but this one is.

Room Tip: Our room overlooked Washington St which is very busy. It was quiet at night but traffic started up...
