I was very excited to be staying at the Washington House Inn. It was a pleasant experience overall, but lacking just a bit for what we paid. I was concerned with the cleanliness of the stone floors in the bathroom of the Fred Asche room. Both my hubby and I wondered just how clean the floors could be given their texture. Not sure if the sweep well or even mop well? Our toilet was leaking a bit on the stone floor, too. The hot tub was a little aged we thought and terribly difficult to get in and out of safely. It really needed a step stool or hand railing of some sort. The staff was kind. The hallways had that musty/old smell, which perhaps cannot be helped. The street traffic when staying in the Fred Asche Room is very loud! If that sort of thing bothers you, select another room away from the front of the building. Cedarburg is a nice place to visit for a night. I do not think you would be disappointed if you stayed here.
