We didn't do the tour but instead opted to pay one dollar and get five samples of beer. Jan who was behind the bar was so knowledgeable and gave us an education on beer. She had a great sense of humor and really made the experience for us.

Nice tour that takes you from the "Lodge" over the actual processing plant. They do warn you about being able to stand and take the stairs so you can opt out prior to going. They give a nice history of the brewery, how they make beer and a nice tour through the different stages of the process. You can see the bottles on the line. They do a good job on the tour with the guide having close up pictures that really adds to their presentation.

I don't think they work weekends so you may not be able to see any work being done on a weekend. At the end you can pay $1 for a sample of 5 different beers. You do get to keep the glass, which was the size of an old fashioned juice glass, approx. 3 oz. Cute for someone with a collection. They do serve sodas to us non beer drinkers and the kids.

The Lodge, to me was a huge marketing sale with every kind of Lienies labeled item you can imagine, and they are not discounted or free, so be warned on that front.

Showed up on a Wednesday with a 5 and 7 year old in tow. Got in on the next available tour and had it to ourselves. As others have said, the tour was informative and well done. The guide did a wonderful job of fielding questions not only from myself but also from my kids. The kids didn't love this tour as much of it was over their heads but they found the machines /sounds /smells interesting enough to make it through without complaint. If going on the weekend know that nothing is in production at that time. If you have members of your party that are sensitive to sounds (the bottling area is loud) or smells that might be the time to go.
I enjoyed sampling the different beers at the end and the kids enjoyed the soda.

We were able to make our reservations the same day which was nice. This tour seemed to be pretty quick. I would say roughly a half an hour long. Our tour guide was very friendly and very knowledgeable about the Leinenkugel Brewing Co. There is not a whole lot to see. I think there would have been more except for the fact that we went on a day that they were not actually brewing anything. When you check in to go on your tour you have the opportunity to buy a sample glass to try samples of different beer. The glasses were a $1 a piece and they held a little more then 2 shot glasses. They have the Leinenkugel logo on them and you are able to keep the glass. With this glass you are allowed to have 5 samples. We enjoyed ours at the end of the tour. Though you may do that at the beginning of your tour as well, because you begin and end in the same place. This place is a souvenir shop that has a little bar inside. at the bar they do have a list of all the beers that they are serving. On the back of this they list are some ideas for mixing different beers to make different flavors. If you had any questions all of the bartenders were extremely friendly and knowledgeable. If you have a little time and would like to squeeze something interesting in I would definitely enjoy this FREE tour.
