All other hotels were sold out in the area due to, it seemed, several weddings that were going on. So I found this place online, and although a little bit leary, it had good reviews, plus it was cheaper than the Econolodge and only 5 min. drive from where we needed to be!
What a neat little motel! Although it is SUPER basic, it's really all we needed for a one night stay, and nicer than some 3-star hotels I've been in. Everything worked great, including the A/C (VERY important for such a muggy day) and the TV had more than basic cable, which was a nice perk, as was coffee in the lobby in the morning.
The room was spotlessly clean. Although it was a bit small, it was very cozy for two people and had an ample amount of space to store our belongings. The man at check-in was very friendly. It seems to be a family-owned place, and the owners clean rooms between check-in and check-out time so there's no one in the office at that time.
All in all, it is no-frills, but a fantastic budget option! I would absolutely stay here again if I were in the area.More
