My sister and I came to visit our younger cousin in Eau Claire and decided to go out for pizza. We got there are 5:30 for dinner and were happy to find out that we still had time to squeeze our app and drink orders and get the happy hour special. (Who does happy hour on a Friday? That's amazing!).

We got an order of the Bontons and Italian Nachos for apps and the German pizza (deep dish) and Chicken Smoked Gouda for dinner. For the 3 of us, it was a ton of food and ended up having half of a pizza leftover. Everything was good, but the German pizza blew my mind. It was the item I had the lowest expectations for and it's my favorite thing from dinner that night. Between the 3 of us, we each spent approximately $15 on drinks, apps and pizza.

Not to mention, Kathy, our waitress, was awesome. Great sense of humor, our drinks were never empty and she was happy to give recommendations when we asked for them.

Great experience and can't wait to go back to try out some other specialty pizzas.

Half price apps & taps for Happy Hour makes this place affordable!!! Otherwise the prices are kind of steep for "bar food".
Also, put some Leinie's on tap!!

We stopped by here after the Thursday night Concert in Phoenix Park and were rewarded with MORE wonderful local live music, in a casual uncrowded (should have been more so) surroundings that are no doubt historical. A super good local band was playing (no cover) Service friendly, lots of interesting beers on tap, unusual " breakfast" pizza special that was good....These are the kind of places you dream should just be everywhere, and here, it just works out without seeming to have to try at all.

The remodel is not noticeable and pizza prices are high. We didn't like our pizza and even though we actually told the truth about it, our waiter seemed uninterested. We tried the chips and they were burned. We won't return..

The new owner has done great things for the menu. The burgers are awesome...try the 50/50 burger! The pizza is great. We rented the side room for a group event and the service was great but the pizza and salad weren't up to their normal standards. I think this place does better when it is quiet and they have more time. The waitstaff is polite but in general don't know much about the wines or the food. The owner sometimes comes out and talks to tables and can go on and on about the food. He really cares about his business and takes pride in his work. I think if the staff could match his knowledge and standards, the business could really take off.
