As other reviewers have said, it is a great campground. I couldn't find much reviewed about the pool before we arrived, it is small, but is heated! Kids had a great time swimming.
For the first time in a decade we couldn't get into Peninsula for the 4th of July. We were very hesitant to try a private campground, but couldn't have been more pleased. Centrally located and clean. There are open and wooded sites depending on your preference. Showers were very clean and the water was warm!
The Egg Harbor FD came with one of their trucks while we were there for the kids to explore. Apparently, they don't advertise this as if there is a call or other reason the FD can't make it, they don't want people to be disappointed. If you happen to be lucky enough to be there though, it's really a great experience for the kids.
Also, regarding quiet hours..the campground was completely full. They had staff driving around in golf carts during quiet hours. However, if you were being quiet, there was no problem being out around your fire. I've read reviews from other private campgrounds that you can't even be outside and fires have to be extinguished on or even before quiet hours. Staff here very reasonable.
Highly recommended from campers that LOVE the state parks.More
