“Fun Place To Stop”
Reviewed 25 August 2014

This was our first time here. It's a cute little cafe that serves breakfast and lunch. We all thought it had quite an extensive menu considering how small the place is. Our experience was positive. The service was prompt and polite. The homemade soup was outstanding (beef vegtable). One person got the BLT, which had to have at least a 1/2 lb. of bacon on it. One person got a grilled turkey, which was good, but wasn't real turkey. I got a Chicago style hot dog, which was huge. The sides were good (homemade noodle salad for one, and grilled baby bakers for 2). It was a little more money than it should have been, but it was all very good. We would definitely go back to try breakfast.

“Just Okay”
Reviewed 23 July 2014

Though it was kind of a neat setting for a cafe and well decorated, that was the best part of the visit. The meal seemed a bit pricey for what you got. The food took a long time to make and just didn't have much flavor.

“Rusty Tractor = Rusty Experience”
Reviewed 21 July 2014

This is a super cute place but really lacks in every other aspect. First, the breakfast menu is very limited and if you don't care for onions or peppers you are down to a couple of choices. They will NOT make substitutions and are not pleasant about it. The staff had no personality and the service was absolutely horrible. Our waitress even sent a gentleman over to remind us about the NO substitutions. I've also gathered he might be the owner. Didn't say hello or goodbuy when we left either. We asked for an extra plate for our child which came as we ended our meal and by that time we didn't need it. On the plus side they refilled our coffee cups often......

First of all, I apologize for the poor service that you had while at our establishment. As owners, my husband and I are present every day and he was most likely the person that came to your table. We have told our staff that if a customer isn't happy with this option that they should let us know so we can try to explain why we limit the menu on busy weekends. He would have come to your table if the waitstaff felt that her explanation wasn't acceptable, but certainly would not have been rude about it, moreover he would most likely tried his best to explain our reasoning. It wasn't an easy decision to make and we know that not everyone can understand our position but we truly do try to do what is best for our business and don't take these decisions lightly. Our experience has shown us that if we limit options to what is on the menu WHEN we are busy, the kitchen can prepare meals that can keep pace with the extremely busy traffic flow that we have. Truthfully, we have tried adding seating but the kitchen isn't large enough and that just meant that people sat longer and waited longer to eat. Every year we review what we have done and work to make it better. We haven't completely removed the option for you to order breakfast the way you want it, stop in any weekday and we will do our best to make breakfast the way you want it. It is only on the weekends that, we had to find a way to make things flow better so every one can enjoy breakfast in a timely matter without serving up mistakes. We also have a respectable menu that includes a variety of menu options that do not include onions or peppers. In addition each week we offer a new Stuffed French Toast Special, where nothing is off limits, from bacon to peanut butter and chocolate. Many of our creations have received rave reviews with our customers.

“New Family Tradition”
Reviewed 18 July 2014

We have been going to Door County for the past several years and have driven by this restaurant many times. This is the first year we ate there. I didn't know what to expect. The food was amazing and the people are so nice. One of the owners is the cook. I'm not a pancake person, but her pancakes were the best I've ever had. It is very family friendly as well. We were there twice during our trip to Door County- for breakfast and lunch. Our new tradition will be to go there for breakfast on our way back to Chicago.

“Great spot for breakfast!”
Reviewed 12 July 2014

We started our day by having breakfast at this spot. The food was very good and there's even a little gift shop/boutique attached. Great value, good coffee, good food!
