We stayed at Siebkens because we have small children, and wanted a place we could put the kids to bed and sit out on a patio or balcony and have a couple of drinks, instead of just sitting in front of a TV. We got a 2 bedroom condo, and I have to say, the pictures on the website do not relay how big the place is. It is huge, and the veranda is huge, although you can't really see the lake for the trees. During the day, the kids would run around the veranda while we ate breakfast or lunch on the table, and there was plenty of room for the kids to run around. However, at night, the place turned into a scene from the movie Arachnophobia. I suspect that the people who clean the place have not been there at night, and we looked around at all the condos, and they all looked like they needed a good power washing. We tried to sit out at night and have a couple of beers and relax, but it's hard to relax when you are surrounded by spiders. It did give us something to talk about, and we definitely were not bored. There were spider fights, and we would place bets on which one would win. There were cute little ones that we would root for to catch a bug in their web. And there were big ones-really big ones. None ever came near us, like I said, the porch is really big, and we just sat towards the middle. But by the third night we just couldn't do it again and sat inside and watched Letterman.
Besides this, we really enjoyed the place. The pool was smallish, but nice, the hot tub was clean. The beach, which is across the street, was small but nice, with a shed with beach toys for the kids. The place had a washer/dryer, which we didn't think we would use but ended up using it every day, and got to come home with clean clothes, which was great. I wake up lots of times at night and turn the TV on if I can't sleep, and there was no TV in the bedroom, which I missed, but I could have gone in the other room if I wanted.
Overall, we would come back again, it was pricey, but you do get a really nice place for the price.
