This is a great little spot for a picnic and a gorgeous view of the water, on top of Ellison Bluff. Excellent vantage for a sunset!!

Yet another beautiful park to visit in the ever fascinating jewel of the heartland known as Door County, Wisconsin.
As with other county parks in the area, this one requires no fee to visit, just a love of the outdoors and sense of adventure. I'll admit, I got a little bit more"off-track" on my off-trail trek to get to the rocky shore than I would have liked, but it was worth every grunt of it to walk the shore, feel the rocks and sun and search the driftwood for that one "special" piece.
The views of the bay of Green Bay are stunning from its well-cared for over-look.
Beautiful place to enjoy a picnic with family and friends, just remember to keep this place a beautiful as it deserves to be!

Probably one (there are so many) of Door County's classic vistas. Visited many times in various seasons. Once in summer a two-masted schooner had pulled in close to shore and we could look down on the people on deck. In the winter it's quieter and easier to get around. The adjoining hiking trails are fantastic. If you visit the Elllison Bluff State Natural Area, please take your time and get out and appreciate this wonderful place that local people pulled together to preserve. (Not sure where the potholes are mentioned in another review. Maybe the highway people filled them.)

If you're in the neighborhood, be sure to see the Grand View, just up the road, recently acquired by the Door County Land Trust with the village as final owner. Both of these are the reason that most of us visit or live in Ellison Bay or Door County.

After reading reviews on here I was skeptic to go. I am so glad we did it. The views we seen at this park where the best views we seen our whole vacation in door County. The ledge where you can walk out is breath taking. The path you drive down to get to the park is romantic.

Bone jarring pothole filled road to get there, but amazing views. Easy to get to viewing platform. Plus FREE. Wish we could get the trail map that was posted in the kiosk.
